1
00:00:39.560 --> 00:00:44.780
What's up, everybody? This is another episode of Bulldog Uncensored.

2
00:00:45.880 --> 00:00:51.359
We got my buddy prayer Bronson from TNA wrestling open AEW.

3
00:00:51.420 --> 00:00:55.780
You name it. He's there wrestling open heavyweight champion there.

4
00:00:55.829 --> 00:00:58.170
What's up, man? Thanks for doing this.

5
00:00:58.210 --> 00:00:59.490
Thank you for having me. Appreciate it.

6
00:00:59.869 --> 00:01:04.390
Yeah. So I guess we'll get right to the start. Uh,

7
00:01:04.590 --> 00:01:06.310
what got you in wrestling in the first place?

8
00:01:08.250 --> 00:01:08.750
For me, man.

9
00:01:08.769 --> 00:01:13.260
I mean, it was like, I mean, it's my earliest memories. Uh,

10
00:01:14.829 --> 00:01:18.129
I don't really remember a time where I didn't watch wrestling.

11
00:01:18.310 --> 00:01:18.750
I was hooked.

12
00:01:18.769 --> 00:01:21.870
It was, you know, as a kid, most kids are, uh,

13
00:01:23.189 --> 00:01:25.609
you know, hooked on power Rangers at first or all

14
00:01:25.650 --> 00:01:28.640
that stuff. And I was wrestling was my first, it

15
00:01:28.659 --> 00:01:30.260
was the first thing I ever, it was the first

16
00:01:30.340 --> 00:01:34.819
entertainment I really ever digested. Um, and my parents are

17
00:01:34.859 --> 00:01:37.819
just cool like that, you know, cause like, uh, my

18
00:01:37.879 --> 00:01:40.280
older brother and all my cousins were like super into

19
00:01:40.299 --> 00:01:43.000
the attitude era at the time. And I was born

20
00:01:43.019 --> 00:01:45.560
in 1995, uh, So it was at like five years

21
00:01:45.640 --> 00:01:47.079
old range, four or five years old.

22
00:01:47.400 --> 00:01:49.120
Where I started really digesting it.

23
00:01:49.260 --> 00:01:53.579
And I just loved it better than all the other

24
00:01:53.640 --> 00:01:56.640
kid shows and all that stuff. And it was getting

25
00:01:56.670 --> 00:01:59.430
so big, you know, not getting so big. It was

26
00:01:59.450 --> 00:02:01.590
always big with action figures and all that stuff. So

27
00:02:01.609 --> 00:02:04.810
it was just a lot for me. And that's what, again,

28
00:02:04.849 --> 00:02:11.370
my earliest memories. My earliest memory is not live, but

29
00:02:11.409 --> 00:02:15.469
my brother taped it. Undertaker, Mankind, Hell in a Cell,

30
00:02:15.539 --> 00:02:19.870
King of the Ring, 1998. And that for me, I

31
00:02:19.870 --> 00:02:24.310
think that was the first piece of wrestling history I

32
00:02:24.349 --> 00:02:25.879
ever digested at the time.

33
00:02:25.900 --> 00:02:29.939
You started at a big level, man. Holy crap.

34
00:02:30.039 --> 00:02:32.520
Yeah, that was my earliest memory of it. And then

35
00:02:32.580 --> 00:02:35.530
I fell in love with Stone Cold Steve Austin. And, um,

36
00:02:35.909 --> 00:02:39.599
that kind of car crash style of wrestling. And, um,

37
00:02:40.039 --> 00:02:41.860
I just loved it. I never fell out of love

38
00:02:41.879 --> 00:02:47.159
with it. I just, um, it's been my, my whole life. So, uh,

39
00:02:47.280 --> 00:02:49.159
when I got into it, I mean, I always knew

40
00:02:49.180 --> 00:02:51.599
it was what I wanted to do. Um, I did

41
00:02:51.639 --> 00:02:55.099
attempt to go to college, uh, for like a semester

42
00:02:55.259 --> 00:02:56.740
at the time when I graduated high school.

43
00:02:57.319 --> 00:03:00.960
But, uh, when I graduated high school, I, you.

44
00:03:02.599 --> 00:03:06.689
Know, I looked up wrestling schools, uh, And creative pro

45
00:03:06.729 --> 00:03:10.810
wrestling was, you know, 20 minutes away from me and

46
00:03:10.879 --> 00:03:13.400
it had just opened. So that was very appealing to me.

47
00:03:13.840 --> 00:03:18.000
It had just opened and opened by Curt Hawkins or

48
00:03:18.080 --> 00:03:24.090
Brian Myers now and Pat Buck. And that's where I

49
00:03:24.120 --> 00:03:28.990
really got my first footing and my roots are in

50
00:03:29.030 --> 00:03:33.210
that wrestling school. So that's how I got into wrestling,

51
00:03:33.469 --> 00:03:36.789
literally got into the business. And I just never, man,

52
00:03:36.870 --> 00:03:39.169
I never imagined myself doing anything else.

53
00:03:39.689 --> 00:03:40.270
And I'm the.

54
00:03:40.250 --> 00:03:45.909
Type where it wasn't my dream to, like... I mean, obviously,

55
00:03:45.969 --> 00:03:48.229
everyone's dream to, like, main event WrestleMania or win a

56
00:03:48.289 --> 00:03:50.319
world title or something like that. But for me, it

57
00:03:50.340 --> 00:03:51.699
was to just be a wrestler.

58
00:03:52.439 --> 00:03:53.800
Like, period.

59
00:03:54.419 --> 00:03:59.080
So, my endgame was, like, you know, joining wrestling school.

60
00:03:59.120 --> 00:04:03.680
My best friends were MJF, Max Caster. I knew those

61
00:04:03.740 --> 00:04:07.389
guys were going... you know, as far as.

62
00:04:07.370 --> 00:04:08.090
They wanted to go.

63
00:04:08.110 --> 00:04:09.969
And for me, it was like, I just, my goal

64
00:04:09.990 --> 00:04:11.909
was to be the cool indie wrestler that like they're

65
00:04:11.930 --> 00:04:16.389
all friends with, you know? And luckily I've, I've exceeded

66
00:04:16.449 --> 00:04:20.009
those dreams by a lot. So I'm very lucky and

67
00:04:20.029 --> 00:04:21.970
I'm very blessed for that, but that's how literally I

68
00:04:22.009 --> 00:04:23.990
got into the business.

69
00:04:24.670 --> 00:04:28.860
No, that's awesome. I mean, I, I'm believe it or

70
00:04:28.879 --> 00:04:30.600
not a few years older than you.

71
00:04:32.379 --> 00:04:32.720
Yeah.

72
00:04:32.839 --> 00:04:37.360
I'm 38. So I started watching in 92. Back when

73
00:04:37.740 --> 00:04:39.100
WWF was kind of shitty.

74
00:04:40.879 --> 00:04:41.279
Sure.

75
00:04:41.639 --> 00:04:46.160
Things picked up mid-90s. I mean, I was a huge

76
00:04:46.819 --> 00:04:48.060
Shawn Michaels mark.

77
00:04:49.279 --> 00:04:49.740
Hell yeah.

78
00:04:50.759 --> 00:04:55.389
But my first favorite big man was Ahmed Johnson. And

79
00:04:56.850 --> 00:04:59.310
I was lucky enough to have him on the show.

80
00:05:00.250 --> 00:05:04.470
The first season I did this. So shout outs to Tony.

81
00:05:04.490 --> 00:05:10.170
He's a good dude. Always a big fan. But yeah,

82
00:05:10.250 --> 00:05:13.610
so I mean, I started with an episode of Superstars.

83
00:05:13.649 --> 00:05:18.089
I think it was Goldust and Ahmed Johnson going at it.

84
00:05:18.810 --> 00:05:19.490
Wow.

85
00:05:19.569 --> 00:05:24.209
Kind of prepping for their Intercontinental match. So that was

86
00:05:24.360 --> 00:05:28.100
pretty sweet. And then, like you said, Austin came about

87
00:05:28.180 --> 00:05:32.399
and Taker is my do or die guy, man. Sure.

88
00:05:33.600 --> 00:05:35.939
Even in high school, I was dressed in like the

89
00:05:36.629 --> 00:05:39.189
American badass because I couldn't grow my hair out long

90
00:05:39.230 --> 00:05:42.569
at the time. That's what you get for having a

91
00:05:42.589 --> 00:05:44.850
cop for a flask. But, you know, it's a whole

92
00:05:44.889 --> 00:05:45.490
nother story.

93
00:05:45.509 --> 00:05:47.810
I love it.

94
00:05:47.949 --> 00:05:53.660
Right. Yeah. So, I mean, I've been, you know, I,

95
00:05:54.009 --> 00:05:58.730
even though with, you know, my disability, I wouldn't be

96
00:05:58.790 --> 00:06:02.149
able to actually get in physicality of it. Like I

97
00:06:02.170 --> 00:06:05.089
would literally work out in my room as a kid

98
00:06:05.250 --> 00:06:08.889
and just, wrestle a fucking bashing brawler in the bed

99
00:06:08.930 --> 00:06:14.899
just to keep myself healthy. And, yeah, it panned off. So,

100
00:06:14.939 --> 00:06:18.480
I mean, it's always been a huge part of my life. Nice.

101
00:06:18.579 --> 00:06:22.240
You know, independent wrestling, especially, like, once I got into

102
00:06:22.279 --> 00:06:25.139
high school, I started going to a lot of indie

103
00:06:25.160 --> 00:06:29.029
shows and doing one that, you know, it was one

104
00:06:29.050 --> 00:06:31.550
thing to go to Raw or SmackDown or whatever, be

105
00:06:31.589 --> 00:06:34.129
a part of the whole vibe of it all. But

106
00:06:34.410 --> 00:06:37.560
when I started going to indie shows... I was like, wow,

107
00:06:37.779 --> 00:06:39.600
you know, like, I know these guys are all just

108
00:06:39.660 --> 00:06:42.939
regular people, but, like, I got to get to know

109
00:06:43.000 --> 00:06:47.509
a few guys that I probably wouldn't have otherwise, just

110
00:06:47.569 --> 00:06:50.490
in a more intimate setting, you know, yourself included.

111
00:06:50.509 --> 00:06:55.180
Yeah, well, it opens up a whole other, you know,

112
00:06:56.040 --> 00:06:59.180
TV wrestling, the library of TV wrestling in itself is

113
00:06:59.240 --> 00:06:59.860
so vast.

114
00:07:00.360 --> 00:07:00.439
Yeah.

115
00:07:00.459 --> 00:07:00.829
And then you.

116
00:07:03.430 --> 00:07:05.550
I remember what I was like, I was 13 years

117
00:07:05.629 --> 00:07:07.600
old when I figured out what indie wrestling was. And

118
00:07:07.620 --> 00:07:12.500
that opens up an entirely different world where it's just

119
00:07:12.540 --> 00:07:16.860
like so much more, so much different. You think like, oh,

120
00:07:16.899 --> 00:07:19.019
wrestling's not like this anymore or whatever. And then you

121
00:07:19.139 --> 00:07:20.550
go to indie and you're like, oh my God, it

122
00:07:20.569 --> 00:07:22.750
can be, you know? Cause I was always at like,

123
00:07:22.889 --> 00:07:26.990
I loved ECW. I loved car crash style wrestling. So like,

124
00:07:27.790 --> 00:07:31.670
you know, for me, discovering at the time when i

125
00:07:31.689 --> 00:07:33.850
was 13 years old like i was discovering like czw

126
00:07:34.410 --> 00:07:36.170
at the time and you know tournament of death and

127
00:07:36.189 --> 00:07:38.769
all that stuff i was like yeah what is you

128
00:07:38.889 --> 00:07:40.870
know so it's a whole other world.

129
00:07:41.009 --> 00:07:44.379
Oh yeah for sure no it's next level and i

130
00:07:44.439 --> 00:07:47.839
think you know between that and underground music like i

131
00:07:47.879 --> 00:07:51.720
think the the underdog lifestyle is always a thing so

132
00:07:52.560 --> 00:07:55.759
like i uh i found guitar 10 10 years old

133
00:07:56.759 --> 00:08:00.240
and i've been in metal bands since i was 20

134
00:08:00.240 --> 00:08:05.500
Hell yeah. I love it. It might not be a

135
00:08:05.540 --> 00:08:07.899
high paying job, but I still book shows for other

136
00:08:07.959 --> 00:08:10.420
bands and stuff like that. So I get a real

137
00:08:10.439 --> 00:08:14.199
appreciation for all the DIY stuff that goes on with

138
00:08:14.259 --> 00:08:21.069
indie wrestling. Probably my favorite memory, I was at Good

139
00:08:21.110 --> 00:08:24.769
Times Emporium down in Somerville back in the day when

140
00:08:24.790 --> 00:08:30.040
they were still running shows. And I had pizza with

141
00:08:30.060 --> 00:08:31.860
Jay Lethal and AJ Styles.

142
00:08:32.980 --> 00:08:33.379
Wow.

143
00:08:34.000 --> 00:08:36.360
Randomly just said, hey, you guys want to come sit

144
00:08:36.379 --> 00:08:39.789
with us? I was like, yeah, all right. And then

145
00:08:40.250 --> 00:08:43.909
a few weeks later, I went to another show closer

146
00:08:43.929 --> 00:08:47.289
to Boston and Chris Saban and Road Dogg were there.

147
00:08:47.330 --> 00:08:51.190
And I'm a diehard DX guy. And I ended up

148
00:08:51.210 --> 00:08:53.669
smoking a joint with him in the parking lot. So

149
00:08:53.690 --> 00:08:57.779
that was pretty funny. Um, well, yeah, like really cool

150
00:08:57.820 --> 00:09:01.360
experiences on indie wrestling. And, you know, I've gotten a

151
00:09:01.419 --> 00:09:05.879
chance to post a couple of events of different bars.

152
00:09:05.960 --> 00:09:08.200
Like I did the Royal rumble. I think it was

153
00:09:08.220 --> 00:09:13.220
like 20. Well, I think, um, but we had Ox

154
00:09:13.279 --> 00:09:20.120
Baker come down, uh, Maria can don't and all those guys.

155
00:09:20.179 --> 00:09:22.279
So it was, it was really cool to hang out

156
00:09:22.299 --> 00:09:25.809
with people and just like, you know, I never really

157
00:09:26.009 --> 00:09:32.330
get the whole like starstruck thing with very few people, but, uh, yeah, it's,

158
00:09:32.529 --> 00:09:36.009
it's cool to really develop those kinds of friendships. I'm

159
00:09:36.029 --> 00:09:41.840
always appreciative of that. So obviously, you know, dead giveaway

160
00:09:42.049 --> 00:09:47.220
with your, uh, entrance music and whatnot, you're into heavy shit. Uh,

161
00:09:47.700 --> 00:09:49.639
what do you, what do you start off when it

162
00:09:49.679 --> 00:09:50.379
comes to music?

163
00:09:51.940 --> 00:09:54.179
So what's funny is my wife is a way bigger

164
00:09:54.220 --> 00:09:56.889
metal head than I am, like way deeper.

165
00:09:56.950 --> 00:09:59.009
She grew up going to hardcore shows. She grew up

166
00:09:59.029 --> 00:09:59.809
going to metal shows.

167
00:09:59.889 --> 00:10:02.909
She loves hair metal she loves uh not hair metal

168
00:10:02.929 --> 00:10:07.269
i'm sorry she loves uh like king diamond yeah you

169
00:10:07.309 --> 00:10:11.740
know like that style um and she you know when

170
00:10:11.789 --> 00:10:15.120
i had left aw and was trying to reinvent myself

171
00:10:15.200 --> 00:10:15.970
and trying to.

172
00:10:15.820 --> 00:10:16.820
Um uh.

173
00:10:20.110 --> 00:10:23.350
Trying to change my image and try to make it

174
00:10:23.370 --> 00:10:24.049
more of what I want.

175
00:10:24.330 --> 00:10:27.269
I had a hard time because entrance music is so important,

176
00:10:27.289 --> 00:10:31.740
more important than you think. And it was actually her

177
00:10:31.799 --> 00:10:35.139
idea to use the hammer by Kublai Khan. And when

178
00:10:35.179 --> 00:10:37.179
she had showed me it, I actually dismissed it at

179
00:10:37.200 --> 00:10:39.440
first because I was like, there's no way no one's

180
00:10:39.519 --> 00:10:41.500
using that. Someone out there is using that.

181
00:10:42.179 --> 00:10:42.879
It's so good.

182
00:10:42.899 --> 00:10:47.309
And then I spent an entire afternoon really, really searching

183
00:10:47.809 --> 00:10:49.049
and nobody was using it.

184
00:10:49.779 --> 00:10:54.559
And I was very surprised. So I was like, hell yeah,

185
00:10:55.000 --> 00:10:56.600
let's do it. And it was just perfect.

186
00:10:57.000 --> 00:11:00.409
Yeah. Now, how would you compare that to some of

187
00:11:00.429 --> 00:11:03.850
your other themes in, like, AEW? Like, do you feel

188
00:11:03.870 --> 00:11:05.009
like it's a different energy?

189
00:11:06.190 --> 00:11:07.289
Way different. Way different.

190
00:11:07.309 --> 00:11:08.230
Way more memorable.

191
00:11:08.289 --> 00:11:09.210
Way more fitting.

192
00:11:09.649 --> 00:11:14.840
Even, like, honestly, just my other, whether it's in AEW

193
00:11:14.860 --> 00:11:19.500
or outside of AEW or, like, indies and stuff, I always...

194
00:11:20.480 --> 00:11:23.559
used cool music but it was just not like memorable

195
00:11:23.600 --> 00:11:27.639
or iconic right um like i love like gojira so

196
00:11:27.840 --> 00:11:32.059
i'd use gojira yeah and um what's funny is like

197
00:11:32.720 --> 00:11:35.240
the two entrance themes i have now whether it's the

198
00:11:35.279 --> 00:11:39.259
hammer or in uh tna we have by downstate the

199
00:11:39.299 --> 00:11:41.799
system right right those are two of my favorite theme

200
00:11:41.840 --> 00:11:43.759
songs i've ever had and i bumped both of them

201
00:11:43.799 --> 00:11:45.879
at the gym and I'm like, oh, I'm actually, this

202
00:11:45.899 --> 00:11:46.259
is cool.

203
00:11:46.320 --> 00:11:48.139
It's cool to be a fan of your own theme song.

204
00:11:48.179 --> 00:11:49.539
This is great.

205
00:11:49.639 --> 00:11:53.960
It's not something generic. Have you talked.

206
00:11:53.590 --> 00:11:55.070
To the guys in Kublai Khan?

207
00:11:55.970 --> 00:11:56.490
I have not.

208
00:11:59.710 --> 00:12:00.570
But I've heard a lot.

209
00:12:00.629 --> 00:12:03.210
I've heard cool things.

210
00:12:04.669 --> 00:12:09.259
I'm not as deep because honestly, I'm very one-dimensional when

211
00:12:09.279 --> 00:12:13.259
it comes to maybe I wouldn't say that, but you know,

212
00:12:13.940 --> 00:12:15.840
I had a lot of friends that went to hardcore

213
00:12:15.860 --> 00:12:16.980
shows and all that stuff.

214
00:12:17.039 --> 00:12:20.559
And I like, I had a lot, I had a

215
00:12:20.620 --> 00:12:21.899
lot of friends going out a lot.

216
00:12:22.279 --> 00:12:25.980
And like, whether it was like hardcore music people or

217
00:12:26.059 --> 00:12:28.340
whether it was like, you know, I played football. So

218
00:12:28.379 --> 00:12:30.100
I had friends in football. So I had a lot

219
00:12:30.120 --> 00:12:33.720
of like, I called them ESPN kids. And, uh, I

220
00:12:33.740 --> 00:12:36.860
just never cared. I never cared about any of that stuff.

221
00:12:36.899 --> 00:12:39.399
Like I'd go over my friend's house and they're all

222
00:12:39.440 --> 00:12:41.200
sitting in the living room watching a sports center.

223
00:12:41.220 --> 00:12:44.129
And I'm like, Oh, like I can't, I, it bores

224
00:12:44.169 --> 00:12:48.649
me to death. I can't, I can't, I can't do it. Like,

225
00:12:48.690 --> 00:12:49.230
I just can't.

226
00:12:49.570 --> 00:12:52.950
And then like, I love music. I love music, but like, I,

227
00:12:53.840 --> 00:12:55.740
I didn't grow up going to shows a lot just

228
00:12:55.779 --> 00:12:57.570
cause I didn't really, I didn't have any interest in it.

229
00:12:57.620 --> 00:13:01.600
I just, I loved wrestling. Wrestling to me was just my,

230
00:13:01.759 --> 00:13:05.620
my everything. So, but my, my wife did though. She,

231
00:13:05.700 --> 00:13:09.019
she's been to hundreds of shows. So, uh, her, her, um,

232
00:13:10.799 --> 00:13:14.340
Her palette is very, very wide when it comes to music.

233
00:13:14.919 --> 00:13:19.000
Nice. Yeah, so, I mean, you and, well, for those

234
00:13:19.019 --> 00:13:22.960
of you who don't know at home, Gabby Flores is

235
00:13:23.019 --> 00:13:26.840
Bear's wife. She is newly signed to TNA. Congrats to

236
00:13:26.879 --> 00:13:32.519
Gabby again. And the new Limitless Wrestling Champion. Yes.

237
00:13:33.269 --> 00:13:35.590
Crazy week, man. All in one week.

238
00:13:36.629 --> 00:13:39.809
Unreal. Crazy. They say when it rains, it pours, but

239
00:13:39.850 --> 00:13:42.970
sometimes it's a good thing. Yeah, man.

240
00:13:43.029 --> 00:13:44.529
And I love the rain. I actually have a tattoo

241
00:13:44.549 --> 00:13:45.710
that says it can't rain all the time.

242
00:13:45.730 --> 00:13:46.730
Right on.

243
00:13:47.009 --> 00:13:49.970
Because, in a positive light, because I love the rain, so.

244
00:13:50.509 --> 00:13:52.389
Yeah, I'm a big girl fan, too, right on.

245
00:13:52.490 --> 00:13:53.049
Hell yeah.

246
00:13:53.070 --> 00:13:53.490
Nice.

247
00:13:53.509 --> 00:13:54.149
Thank you, man.

248
00:13:54.450 --> 00:13:55.370
Fucking excuse me.

249
00:13:56.289 --> 00:14:01.879
Yeah, so, I mean, you and fucking, since starting in

250
00:14:02.039 --> 00:14:04.620
with AEW and the tag division and then kind of

251
00:14:05.740 --> 00:14:11.559
remolding yourself, like you said, As a singles competitor, man,

252
00:14:11.600 --> 00:14:14.620
like I saw you in Bear Country early on, and

253
00:14:15.179 --> 00:14:20.210
I'm like, okay, this guy's got something. The other guy's

254
00:14:20.250 --> 00:14:24.129
pretty good, but you stood out to me in a

255
00:14:24.190 --> 00:14:24.809
lot of ways.

256
00:14:24.830 --> 00:14:25.669
Thank you.

257
00:14:26.350 --> 00:14:29.549
And, you know, I've always been, like I said, a

258
00:14:29.549 --> 00:14:32.769
big fan of the bigger dudes like Vader and Bam

259
00:14:32.789 --> 00:14:36.019
Bam and shit like that. Um, so I get a

260
00:14:36.059 --> 00:14:42.000
little bit more appreciation than most for guys of your stature, but, uh, it's,

261
00:14:42.460 --> 00:14:45.159
it's impressive to me how nimble you are considering how

262
00:14:45.200 --> 00:14:46.320
big you are.

263
00:14:46.500 --> 00:14:48.279
I get that a lot. I get that a lot.

264
00:14:48.919 --> 00:14:50.549
Yeah. I, uh, I don't know. And I don't even

265
00:14:50.570 --> 00:14:54.129
know what to credit to either. I guess put my

266
00:14:54.169 --> 00:14:55.029
mind to something and.

267
00:14:54.990 --> 00:14:55.440
Just do it.

268
00:14:56.850 --> 00:15:00.429
Now, something I've always wondered is, and I don't know

269
00:15:00.470 --> 00:15:02.330
why I never thought to ask any of my other

270
00:15:02.370 --> 00:15:06.230
wrestling buddies, but, you know, obviously when you go through

271
00:15:06.279 --> 00:15:09.470
training and whatnot, you get the basics down and all

272
00:15:09.509 --> 00:15:13.110
that kind of stuff and chain wrestling and all that. Um,

273
00:15:13.389 --> 00:15:15.370
how did you come up with like a move set?

274
00:15:17.429 --> 00:15:17.929
Honestly?

275
00:15:17.950 --> 00:15:26.470
Um, cause the thing is like, you know, you do

276
00:15:26.509 --> 00:15:30.429
your fundamental training at school, right? But your, your real

277
00:15:30.509 --> 00:15:34.370
training is just getting out there and getting on shows. And, um,

278
00:15:36.200 --> 00:15:41.419
my first few years, you know, I think what's hard

279
00:15:41.470 --> 00:15:42.159
for newer.

280
00:15:41.950 --> 00:15:47.909
Wrestlers today is everything is streaming. So you don't newer

281
00:15:47.950 --> 00:15:48.610
wrestlers today.

282
00:15:48.690 --> 00:15:51.090
Don't have an Avenue to go out and go fail

283
00:15:51.889 --> 00:15:53.049
without any repercussion.

284
00:15:53.070 --> 00:15:56.029
And I did, I had that Avenue. So that was

285
00:15:56.110 --> 00:15:56.610
good for me.

286
00:15:56.649 --> 00:15:58.889
And like, you know, those matches, no one ever sees those,

287
00:15:59.129 --> 00:16:01.230
you know, the ones of my first two years where

288
00:16:01.250 --> 00:16:04.700
I was stinking up the place and having terrible, you know, like,

289
00:16:06.009 --> 00:16:09.919
or just, just learning, you know, like it's, that's where

290
00:16:09.940 --> 00:16:14.340
you get the real training being in front of crowds

291
00:16:14.500 --> 00:16:15.879
and just learning.

292
00:16:15.580 --> 00:16:18.299
How that works. And, you know, so I would say

293
00:16:18.350 --> 00:16:22.570
with a move set, um, I.

294
00:16:25.450 --> 00:16:27.889
Later on in my career, especially these last two years,

295
00:16:28.570 --> 00:16:31.190
I've worked very hard on not being pigeonholed into one

296
00:16:31.250 --> 00:16:34.320
thing because I found if I look back on my career,

297
00:16:35.110 --> 00:16:37.330
I feel like that would happen to me often beyond

298
00:16:37.370 --> 00:16:40.389
my control. So like, even with like the bear Bronson character,

299
00:16:41.470 --> 00:16:43.610
I've had a lot of people throughout my career, maybe,

300
00:16:43.649 --> 00:16:45.809
you know, like years and years ago, like people would

301
00:16:45.830 --> 00:16:46.970
be like, Oh, it'd be cool if you came out

302
00:16:47.029 --> 00:16:49.549
on all fours and growl. And I'm like, no, like

303
00:16:49.929 --> 00:16:50.710
that sucks.

304
00:16:51.169 --> 00:16:51.470
Yeah.

305
00:16:51.509 --> 00:16:54.549
But you know, and, uh, I had to make sure

306
00:16:54.570 --> 00:16:56.370
I had to make sure everything was tailored to what

307
00:16:56.590 --> 00:17:01.190
I want it to be. And I'm a very ECW style, hardcore, right.

308
00:17:01.529 --> 00:17:05.880
You know? Um, so yeah, you know, uh.

309
00:17:06.619 --> 00:17:09.279
You know, you brought up Bam Bam and I love

310
00:17:09.319 --> 00:17:12.339
the greetings from Asbury parks, one of my favorite finishers. And, uh,

311
00:17:12.380 --> 00:17:14.940
that was suggested to me, suggested to me by Brian

312
00:17:14.960 --> 00:17:18.039
Myers years ago. And I I've used it ever since.

313
00:17:18.079 --> 00:17:21.599
And I love it. And, um, black hole slam, big

314
00:17:21.640 --> 00:17:23.609
abyss mark. I'm a huge abyss mark.

315
00:17:23.849 --> 00:17:24.140
Yeah.

316
00:17:24.309 --> 00:17:27.869
So, uh, and you know, I'm.

317
00:17:27.849 --> 00:17:31.509
A pretty heavy set guy. So like I do a

318
00:17:31.549 --> 00:17:36.049
lot of like sitting on people, you know, Yeah. So

319
00:17:36.069 --> 00:17:38.079
a lot of using my body as a weapon.

320
00:17:38.650 --> 00:17:38.880
Yeah.

321
00:17:40.519 --> 00:17:45.839
And, yeah, I would say my moveset is, I would say,

322
00:17:45.880 --> 00:17:51.900
heavily inspired. Heavily inspired by, like, those guys mentioned or, like,

323
00:17:51.960 --> 00:17:53.019
Takeshi Morishima.

324
00:17:53.500 --> 00:17:53.779
Yeah.

325
00:17:54.539 --> 00:17:57.500
That sort of style. If you want to talk about

326
00:17:57.539 --> 00:17:58.319
nimble big guys.

327
00:17:58.779 --> 00:18:00.279
Oh, God, yeah, absolutely.

328
00:18:00.299 --> 00:18:02.859
He is the goat of nimble big guys.

329
00:18:02.960 --> 00:18:09.380
Yeah. My wife actually got me into New Japan, like

330
00:18:09.539 --> 00:18:15.009
right when everything before AEW went down and actually started up. So,

331
00:18:15.029 --> 00:18:19.809
you know, the Indies from 2016 to 19 were just insane.

332
00:18:19.829 --> 00:18:22.130
They were.

333
00:18:22.329 --> 00:18:27.390
The amount of good wrestling everywhere. It was just nutty.

334
00:18:30.250 --> 00:18:32.630
You know, so when did you start training?

335
00:18:33.910 --> 00:18:37.849
I started training in 2014. So I was not, I

336
00:18:37.869 --> 00:18:40.059
was not prominent on the indie scene until 2019.

337
00:18:40.039 --> 00:18:40.259
Yeah.

338
00:18:40.339 --> 00:18:43.519
So I got like the tail end of that, like

339
00:18:43.660 --> 00:18:45.019
crazy insane.

340
00:18:45.119 --> 00:18:45.980
It was nuts.

341
00:18:47.200 --> 00:18:47.440
Yeah.

342
00:18:47.539 --> 00:18:50.400
Like I freaking shot the shit with Cody and the

343
00:18:50.460 --> 00:18:52.690
young bucks for like 20 minutes at a ring of honor.

344
00:18:52.710 --> 00:18:55.220
So like it was nothing. And now they're on to you.

345
00:18:55.230 --> 00:19:00.789
You'd be every damn week. Oh yeah. Insane. But yeah,

346
00:19:00.849 --> 00:19:04.859
huge Kenny Omega fan too. I've always been a big

347
00:19:04.940 --> 00:19:09.059
fan of his. So, out of the guys that are

348
00:19:09.140 --> 00:19:15.529
around right now that you haven't wrestled, who's your dream

349
00:19:15.640 --> 00:19:21.269
one-on-one opponent?

350
00:19:25.130 --> 00:19:33.359
Well, active right now? Excuse me. My dream one-on-one opponent

351
00:19:33.519 --> 00:19:34.420
must be, I.

352
00:19:34.380 --> 00:19:37.599
Would say Kevin Owens.

353
00:19:38.359 --> 00:19:39.440
Yeah, dude.

354
00:19:39.460 --> 00:19:40.680
Kevin Owens or CM Punk.

355
00:19:41.200 --> 00:19:41.519
Yeah.

356
00:19:42.240 --> 00:19:46.730
CM Punk. Punk is somebody who is always good to me.

357
00:19:46.750 --> 00:19:48.569
And he didn't have to be because when I was

358
00:19:48.609 --> 00:19:50.619
in AW I was the lowest on the totem pole

359
00:19:50.640 --> 00:19:53.680
you could possibly be he didn't have to give a

360
00:19:53.980 --> 00:19:55.819
shit about me if he didn't want to but he

361
00:19:55.900 --> 00:19:59.390
did and he was super super cool I know everybody

362
00:19:59.410 --> 00:20:03.210
I know he's a very polarizing individual but always good

363
00:20:03.269 --> 00:20:03.630
to me.

364
00:20:05.269 --> 00:20:07.210
No I mean that's kind of my policy with people

365
00:20:07.230 --> 00:20:09.539
if you're good to me I'm good to you Otherwise,

366
00:20:09.720 --> 00:20:11.009
I don't really give a shit.

367
00:20:11.940 --> 00:20:14.009
And I'm not the type either to where my best

368
00:20:14.069 --> 00:20:18.890
friends have a muddied history with him. Right.

369
00:20:19.109 --> 00:20:21.049
But I don't let that judge. I just go by

370
00:20:21.089 --> 00:20:23.630
my experiences with people. I do that with everybody.

371
00:20:24.329 --> 00:20:24.990
Absolutely.

372
00:20:25.769 --> 00:20:29.549
So always great to me. Always door open for anybody

373
00:20:29.569 --> 00:20:34.670
that needed help. Just super, super uplifting.

374
00:20:35.269 --> 00:20:35.589
Yeah. Yeah.

375
00:20:37.039 --> 00:20:39.940
No, he seems like it really depends on what kind

376
00:20:39.980 --> 00:20:41.130
of environment he's in.

377
00:20:42.430 --> 00:20:42.690
Sure.

378
00:20:43.130 --> 00:20:48.329
I think, and that's natural for anybody. But, yeah, so

379
00:20:48.430 --> 00:20:51.130
if Buck and Kevin Owens make total sense to me,

380
00:20:51.670 --> 00:20:54.750
I could totally see that. Kevin especially. I think he

381
00:20:54.789 --> 00:20:56.470
might put on a banger and a half.

382
00:20:57.690 --> 00:21:00.519
Yeah, I mean, his Ring of Honor days into that

383
00:21:00.559 --> 00:21:04.900
first WWE run, you know, as a husky kid, there's

384
00:21:05.000 --> 00:21:07.099
nothing more inspiring than Kevin Owens.

385
00:21:07.460 --> 00:21:12.779
Yeah. Kevin seen into Kevin Owens, like nothing more inspiring. No.

386
00:21:12.880 --> 00:21:14.759
And he seems like such a genuine dude.

387
00:21:15.589 --> 00:21:15.829
Yeah.

388
00:21:16.029 --> 00:21:19.009
Which is, yeah, I value that greatly.

389
00:21:19.549 --> 00:21:25.509
Absolutely. For sure. So we got current roster. Um, we'll

390
00:21:25.549 --> 00:21:29.789
get to seeing you at, uh, in Boston a few

391
00:21:29.869 --> 00:21:33.720
months ago in a minute here, but, uh, Who would

392
00:21:33.740 --> 00:21:38.039
you pick from the mid-90s to go against?

393
00:21:41.519 --> 00:21:44.700
My ultimate answer, of all time, so that's why I

394
00:21:44.720 --> 00:21:47.589
specified active before because Stone Cold Steve Austin.

395
00:21:48.190 --> 00:21:48.630
Hell yeah.

396
00:21:49.130 --> 00:21:51.789
That is my GOAT. That is my greatest of all time.

397
00:21:52.230 --> 00:21:54.809
There are people who argue who was better, Brett or Sean.

398
00:21:54.849 --> 00:21:59.170
To me, it's Stone Cold. I put Stone Cold higher

399
00:21:59.609 --> 00:22:01.490
than anybody.

400
00:22:02.329 --> 00:22:04.049
No, he transcended a lot of shit.

401
00:22:04.809 --> 00:22:05.269
Everything.

402
00:22:05.950 --> 00:22:09.910
Everything across the board. A-plus across the board on everything. Performer,

403
00:22:10.789 --> 00:22:11.650
you know, wrestler.

404
00:22:12.630 --> 00:22:15.710
How much money did he make? You know, that too. Yeah.

405
00:22:16.250 --> 00:22:22.819
The company, a fortune. Yeah. I just don't quote Steve Austin.

406
00:22:23.019 --> 00:22:26.380
I even lived through Kevin Owens wrestling at WrestleMania 37. Yeah.

407
00:22:26.380 --> 00:22:30.390
38, 38, 37.

408
00:22:30.390 --> 00:22:33.200
I don't know what it was. They all kind of

409
00:22:33.220 --> 00:22:38.619
blend into each other now, but, but yes, Stone Cold

410
00:22:38.640 --> 00:22:40.640
Steve Lawson. And then I should, you know, the thing

411
00:22:40.660 --> 00:22:42.259
was like, if anyone's watching and they're like, Oh, how

412
00:22:42.279 --> 00:22:44.680
come he didn't say a TNA person? That's because TNA

413
00:22:44.740 --> 00:22:48.869
is like, which, you know, my new home, uh, threw

414
00:22:48.910 --> 00:22:51.849
me into the mix right away. So I have kind

415
00:22:51.890 --> 00:22:54.369
of wrestled all my, in the first, uh, what is

416
00:22:54.410 --> 00:22:57.430
it now? I signed in January. So what is this? Uh,

417
00:22:57.990 --> 00:23:00.309
eight months now with the company, seven, eight months. And

418
00:23:00.369 --> 00:23:04.549
I've got to wrestle all my goals, you know. I

419
00:23:04.549 --> 00:23:06.910
would say the only one, maybe Mustafa Ali, I haven't

420
00:23:06.930 --> 00:23:08.049
gotten to really wrestle.

421
00:23:08.490 --> 00:23:13.819
Right. But, yeah, I mean, the Hardys, got to do

422
00:23:13.839 --> 00:23:14.619
a bunch with them.

423
00:23:14.779 --> 00:23:19.119
Dude, that was a highlight for me, man. So I

424
00:23:19.140 --> 00:23:23.359
got tickets to Slammiversary in Boston only about an hour

425
00:23:23.400 --> 00:23:27.289
away from me, so it wasn't too bad. And, like,

426
00:23:27.329 --> 00:23:29.109
you and I had just kind of chugged the shit

427
00:23:29.250 --> 00:23:32.160
a little bit. a few weeks before that, originally.

428
00:23:32.200 --> 00:23:34.319
Yeah, they believe it was Syracuse, right?

429
00:23:35.259 --> 00:23:36.720
Uh, no, it would have been Rhode Island.

430
00:23:38.220 --> 00:23:39.579
Rhode Island, Rhode Island, sorry.

431
00:23:39.960 --> 00:23:43.039
No, it's not good. Um, but, I was like, holy crap,

432
00:23:43.079 --> 00:23:45.660
my buddy's wrestling the Hardys? Like, what the fuck?

433
00:23:46.119 --> 00:23:49.130
Crazy, man. My brother, my brothers were going insane.

434
00:23:49.150 --> 00:23:52.829
Oh, I bet. I bet. Like, and that place was

435
00:23:52.910 --> 00:23:54.190
really well filled up.

436
00:23:54.890 --> 00:23:55.190
Yep.

437
00:23:55.250 --> 00:23:58.990
You know, I, I thought the production was fantastic. Like,

438
00:23:59.559 --> 00:24:02.779
It's hard to tell on TV sometimes, like, because there's

439
00:24:02.839 --> 00:24:06.519
all this camera work and funny stuff. But, like, you know,

440
00:24:06.599 --> 00:24:09.779
TNA really seems like they've got a good system going

441
00:24:09.799 --> 00:24:15.500
on right now. Pardon the pun. Nice. Yeah, no. I

442
00:24:16.000 --> 00:24:19.740
love it. I love it. That ladder spot, man. When

443
00:24:19.779 --> 00:24:22.539
you got sandwiched in that barbed wire ladder, I was like, oh,

444
00:24:22.579 --> 00:24:25.500
my God, please.

445
00:24:25.539 --> 00:24:26.960
There's a funny story behind that.

446
00:24:27.240 --> 00:24:27.559
Yeah.

447
00:24:28.130 --> 00:24:30.430
I'm growing a bit of a reputation in the company,

448
00:24:30.470 --> 00:24:34.710
I feel, where... So I had asked them, you know,

449
00:24:34.829 --> 00:24:37.269
because The Righteous, I had learned that they were going

450
00:24:37.289 --> 00:24:39.349
to have a Wicked Garden ladder.

451
00:24:39.369 --> 00:24:40.069
Right, right.

452
00:24:40.190 --> 00:24:43.430
Wrapped in barbed wire. And they have a production team

453
00:24:43.450 --> 00:24:46.140
that does it. And they show... I.

454
00:24:46.160 --> 00:24:47.680
Knew I wanted to do some of it. I had

455
00:24:47.720 --> 00:24:48.880
my ideas going into the match.

456
00:24:49.299 --> 00:24:49.779
Great.

457
00:24:49.799 --> 00:24:54.599
And I saw the ladder. And I went right to...

458
00:24:54.519 --> 00:24:58.700
I was like, guys... thank you, but you gotta wrap

459
00:24:58.740 --> 00:24:59.400
that shit up.

460
00:24:59.420 --> 00:25:01.369
You gotta wrap that shit up.

461
00:25:01.740 --> 00:25:05.279
And they said, they were like, well, if we do that,

462
00:25:05.319 --> 00:25:06.960
we're not gonna have time to clip the barbs.

463
00:25:07.019 --> 00:25:10.200
I said, don't. They were like, don't? And I was like, don't.

464
00:25:11.259 --> 00:25:14.440
Don't clip the barbs. I got, it's good.

465
00:25:14.640 --> 00:25:15.119
I promise.

466
00:25:15.160 --> 00:25:18.079
They were like, and they were literally like, are you sure?

467
00:25:18.099 --> 00:25:21.660
And I was like, yes, don't clip the barbs. I

468
00:25:21.700 --> 00:25:24.289
got this. And it was awesome.

469
00:25:24.529 --> 00:25:27.470
And then it looked they, they wrapped it up and

470
00:25:27.490 --> 00:25:29.269
it looked absolutely terrifying.

471
00:25:29.289 --> 00:25:29.849
Yeah.

472
00:25:30.309 --> 00:25:32.650
Uh, cause that first, the first variation of it, you

473
00:25:32.670 --> 00:25:35.430
couldn't really notice. It was very, very subtle.

474
00:25:35.509 --> 00:25:35.769
Yeah.

475
00:25:36.150 --> 00:25:39.970
Then they had that shit wrapped up and it was perfect.

476
00:25:40.049 --> 00:25:42.509
It couldn't have been better. The production team did such

477
00:25:42.549 --> 00:25:46.740
an amazing job on it. Um, and, uh, I think

478
00:25:46.779 --> 00:25:48.880
just after, you know, they're, you know, the safety is

479
00:25:48.900 --> 00:25:52.400
always first and everyone's like, so that's, that's, you know, no,

480
00:25:52.460 --> 00:25:53.359
no shade on them at all.

481
00:25:53.380 --> 00:25:55.809
They're such a great team. Uh, So they were putting

482
00:25:55.869 --> 00:25:56.529
our safety first.

483
00:25:56.569 --> 00:26:00.890
But once I've given them the permission, hey, this is

484
00:26:00.930 --> 00:26:01.589
my thing, man.

485
00:26:01.809 --> 00:26:04.519
Don't worry. Just wrap that shit up. Don't even clip it.

486
00:26:04.670 --> 00:26:07.839
Yeah, if I could wrestle, that's exactly how I'd be.

487
00:26:07.900 --> 00:26:10.259
I mean, I got fucking barbed wire all over my

488
00:26:10.339 --> 00:26:13.619
upper shit. Like, I'm all for it, dude. Hell yeah.

489
00:26:14.140 --> 00:26:16.400
Yeah, and it hurt. But you know what? Who cares?

490
00:26:16.900 --> 00:26:19.730
Like, I love this shit. This is my favorite stuff.

491
00:26:20.390 --> 00:26:22.630
And then when that ladder match was announced.

492
00:26:24.089 --> 00:26:26.809
The very first thing I knew I wanted to do,

493
00:26:26.829 --> 00:26:30.609
I was like, I don't care what anyone says. It's

494
00:26:30.650 --> 00:26:35.319
my dream to take the Bubba Ray, Matt Hardy, WrestleMania

495
00:26:35.319 --> 00:26:35.599
17 bump.

496
00:26:35.980 --> 00:26:36.380
Yeah.

497
00:26:36.759 --> 00:26:37.720
That's my dream, man.

498
00:26:38.140 --> 00:26:40.700
And that's so funny because where I was sitting was

499
00:26:40.779 --> 00:26:46.410
like diagonal from the hard camera. So once you went over,

500
00:26:46.430 --> 00:26:50.210
it was like, oh, there's Bear. Bear disappeared.

501
00:26:50.230 --> 00:26:52.009
Just disappeared, yeah.

502
00:26:52.069 --> 00:26:55.990
Yeah, that's the question. It was intense, dude. Yeah, that

503
00:26:56.029 --> 00:26:58.859
was a fun pay-per-view, man. That was really fun.

504
00:26:59.519 --> 00:27:01.500
Yeah, well, you know what? If I could peel back

505
00:27:01.519 --> 00:27:04.500
the curtain a bit, like, we were all.

506
00:27:06.720 --> 00:27:09.160
The entire locker room was so.

507
00:27:09.180 --> 00:27:12.519
I don't even think motivated is the word. We were

508
00:27:12.579 --> 00:27:17.990
all hell-bent on proving everybody wrong because of the... And

509
00:27:18.029 --> 00:27:20.029
I don't need to get into it, but all the

510
00:27:20.049 --> 00:27:22.349
kind of stuff in the air about, like, oh, like,

511
00:27:23.049 --> 00:27:26.940
you know, whatever about the show, which we don't care.

512
00:27:27.039 --> 00:27:29.119
We don't, we, I don't care. I'll say it. We don't,

513
00:27:29.539 --> 00:27:30.319
I'll speak for locker room.

514
00:27:30.339 --> 00:27:32.880
We don't care. We care about us. We care about

515
00:27:32.920 --> 00:27:37.079
this show more than anybody. And we, I honestly, I

516
00:27:37.119 --> 00:27:41.640
talked to, sorry, excuse me. I talked to Frankie Kazarian

517
00:27:41.660 --> 00:27:43.230
about it, where I was like, we kind of looked

518
00:27:43.250 --> 00:27:45.549
around and we were like, man, this entire locker room

519
00:27:45.589 --> 00:27:47.349
tonight has an F you attitude.

520
00:27:47.829 --> 00:27:51.230
We're like F for what everyone says, man, we are all.

521
00:27:51.569 --> 00:27:56.559
And from match one, to main event, we all had

522
00:27:56.599 --> 00:27:59.299
an FU attitude to the world.

523
00:28:00.039 --> 00:28:02.720
And the pay-per-view shows for it, everybody killed it.

524
00:28:03.380 --> 00:28:06.660
Oh, 100%. I would love to see you in the

525
00:28:06.720 --> 00:28:10.859
Broken Bears. Can you imagine that?

526
00:28:11.920 --> 00:28:12.680
Say that again, I'm sorry?

527
00:28:13.380 --> 00:28:15.559
Broken Bear with the Hardys. What do you think?

528
00:28:16.000 --> 00:28:17.980
Broken Bear. Maybe at some point.

529
00:28:18.019 --> 00:28:20.460
Like contacts and shit? That'd be crazy.

530
00:28:20.859 --> 00:28:23.569
That would be pretty funny. That would be pretty funny.

531
00:28:24.180 --> 00:28:26.440
No, well, we're all, you know, all roads are leading

532
00:28:26.480 --> 00:28:32.210
now to, uh, you know, we're, I feel like coming

533
00:28:32.269 --> 00:28:36.250
out of Slammiversary, we feel a lot of momentum going

534
00:28:36.289 --> 00:28:39.230
into now, uh, lockdown.

535
00:28:39.069 --> 00:28:45.779
In Chicago, uh, August 23rd. And, uh, we are, again,

536
00:28:46.000 --> 00:28:47.920
we have that same feeling. I know I do. I

537
00:28:47.960 --> 00:28:48.920
have that same feeling.

538
00:28:48.720 --> 00:28:55.319
And I'm hurting and I'm, uh, Definitely this year, the

539
00:28:55.339 --> 00:28:57.079
past two years are definitely catching up with me.

540
00:28:57.880 --> 00:28:59.849
I've been burning the candle at both ends as far

541
00:28:59.890 --> 00:29:00.650
as my workload.

542
00:29:00.670 --> 00:29:03.509
Yeah, you've been on the road like crazy, dude.

543
00:29:04.349 --> 00:29:07.589
Since January, since the start of the year, I am at,

544
00:29:07.890 --> 00:29:09.750
I believe, 92.

545
00:29:08.990 --> 00:29:14.170
Matches for the year. 92. And I feel it, man.

546
00:29:14.359 --> 00:29:17.779
I feel it. And you know what? Everybody.

547
00:29:18.670 --> 00:29:24.849
tna gcw everybody has been extremely accommodating um more than

548
00:29:24.910 --> 00:29:30.579
i could really i i can't even like put into

549
00:29:30.640 --> 00:29:32.519
words how much i appreciate that and then putting my

550
00:29:32.559 --> 00:29:38.420
health first but I'm very much looking forward to making

551
00:29:38.500 --> 00:29:42.000
up for it at lockdown because I am I'm looking

552
00:29:42.019 --> 00:29:43.319
to go crazy, man.

553
00:29:43.599 --> 00:29:44.680
I'm looking to go so crazy.

554
00:29:46.900 --> 00:29:50.259
So, you know, TNA is back to the whole four-sided

555
00:29:50.299 --> 00:29:54.230
ring like normal. Have you ever wrestled in a six-sided?

556
00:29:55.190 --> 00:29:56.710
I have not, but all my friends have.

557
00:29:57.190 --> 00:29:57.470
Really?

558
00:29:57.569 --> 00:30:02.049
All my friends have. And I hear mixed opinions. Some

559
00:30:02.089 --> 00:30:03.089
love it. Some hate it.

560
00:30:03.529 --> 00:30:07.789
I think anyone who loves it, it's for the fan

561
00:30:07.890 --> 00:30:11.109
aspect of, like, wow, this is cool. But anyone who doesn't,

562
00:30:11.230 --> 00:30:13.670
I've heard, like, it's a rough experience.

563
00:30:14.430 --> 00:30:18.890
Yeah, it seems like mechanically and, like, psychology-wise, it's kind

564
00:30:18.930 --> 00:30:22.140
of like throwing yourself in the deep end, trying to

565
00:30:22.180 --> 00:30:24.660
figure out, okay, can I do this, this, and this? Or,

566
00:30:24.680 --> 00:30:27.740
you know, laying spots out. Like, that's got to be tough.

567
00:30:28.480 --> 00:30:30.869
I think I would love it because I am not

568
00:30:30.930 --> 00:30:36.750
much of a, uh, just the way I wrestle. I'm

569
00:30:36.789 --> 00:30:38.829
not like a very, I don't run a lot. I'm

570
00:30:38.869 --> 00:30:41.769
not a very, I'm not a flippy guy at all,

571
00:30:41.809 --> 00:30:47.150
but like, I'm not, I'm very grounded. I'm very just

572
00:30:47.799 --> 00:30:51.940
strike heavy, very move heavy. So like, I don't, you know,

573
00:30:52.279 --> 00:30:55.059
I can imagine for high flyers. I can imagine for

574
00:30:56.779 --> 00:31:01.309
guys who, use the entire ring to their advantage guys,

575
00:31:01.369 --> 00:31:03.369
you know, guys who are on the top rope a lot.

576
00:31:04.009 --> 00:31:08.660
I imagine it's tough for them, but yeah, for me,

577
00:31:08.680 --> 00:31:10.119
I don't think it'd be, I don't think it'd be

578
00:31:10.180 --> 00:31:10.759
as tough for.

579
00:31:10.700 --> 00:31:13.420
Me, but excuse me, sorry.

580
00:31:13.859 --> 00:31:17.960
Allergies are rough, but yeah.

581
00:31:18.339 --> 00:31:20.319
I mean, I would love to one day if there,

582
00:31:20.380 --> 00:31:21.579
if that's ever a possibility.

583
00:31:22.900 --> 00:31:25.440
But I also love, but I love how we're, I really,

584
00:31:25.460 --> 00:31:27.630
I love our presentation. I love how we're doing things.

585
00:31:27.690 --> 00:31:34.089
So, Yeah, the neon yellow ropes, I love that. I

586
00:31:34.130 --> 00:31:34.759
honestly do.

587
00:31:34.970 --> 00:31:38.130
I love that. I love the yellow ropes.

588
00:31:38.950 --> 00:31:43.259
Yeah, like I'm big on, you know, I watch WWE

589
00:31:43.319 --> 00:31:46.660
a lot lately, and it's just like the white rope

590
00:31:46.720 --> 00:31:49.859
shit just bores the hell out of me. Yeah, right.

591
00:31:49.960 --> 00:31:52.720
I'm like, stick with the colors. Let's, you know, not

592
00:31:52.779 --> 00:31:55.140
keep it weird, but make it make sense.

593
00:31:55.900 --> 00:31:56.119
Sure.

594
00:31:56.140 --> 00:32:01.670
Make it eye-catching, you know. I'm so old school. I

595
00:32:01.730 --> 00:32:05.380
like to veer away when it comes to match types,

596
00:32:05.680 --> 00:32:10.640
like being original and kind of creative, but we're all

597
00:32:10.660 --> 00:32:14.339
set up. I'm old school. Just give me fucking four

598
00:32:14.359 --> 00:32:18.240
sides and call it a day. That's definitely the way

599
00:32:18.319 --> 00:32:18.960
I prefer it.

600
00:32:19.920 --> 00:32:22.279
Yeah, I wouldn't change that aspect. I think TNA as

601
00:32:22.339 --> 00:32:26.609
a presentation, I love everything about it. I would say

602
00:32:26.809 --> 00:32:30.950
my cup of tea when it comes to wrestling or

603
00:32:34.390 --> 00:32:38.579
when I've been asked in the past or if I

604
00:32:38.619 --> 00:32:40.500
even think to myself right now, what do I bring

605
00:32:40.519 --> 00:32:42.160
to the table as far as how TNA goes?

606
00:32:42.680 --> 00:32:44.720
Because TNA has some of the best wrestlers in the world.

607
00:32:45.299 --> 00:32:52.490
Mustafa Ali, Nick Namath, Eddie Edwards, some of the best

608
00:32:52.630 --> 00:32:54.609
in-ring technicians, in-ring.

609
00:32:54.329 --> 00:32:55.049
Wrestlers in the world.

610
00:32:55.829 --> 00:33:00.140
But if you look at the history of TNA since

611
00:33:00.180 --> 00:33:05.440
the beginning, it has very hardcore roots. And I believe

612
00:33:06.740 --> 00:33:10.119
my role, or I believe my, like, if you were

613
00:33:10.140 --> 00:33:12.299
to ask me, what do you want to do in TNA?

614
00:33:13.059 --> 00:33:16.500
I want to bring TNA back to hardcore prominence like

615
00:33:16.539 --> 00:33:20.700
Abyss did, you know? And, uh, you know, cause those

616
00:33:20.759 --> 00:33:22.049
are some back in the day, those are some of

617
00:33:22.069 --> 00:33:23.769
the most hardcore matches I'd ever seen.

618
00:33:23.789 --> 00:33:24.329
Oh yeah.

619
00:33:25.029 --> 00:33:28.990
Uh, and I believe that's, that's, that is what I

620
00:33:30.250 --> 00:33:34.250
really would like to do with TNA and push those

621
00:33:34.309 --> 00:33:36.569
boundaries as much as I can, as much as they'll

622
00:33:36.609 --> 00:33:41.710
let me, you know, um, which so far it's been

623
00:33:41.730 --> 00:33:42.230
pretty cool.

624
00:33:42.839 --> 00:33:45.519
So, but there's.

625
00:33:45.819 --> 00:33:46.799
So much more. Yeah.

626
00:33:46.819 --> 00:33:50.380
And I've only been here for a cup of coffee. So, uh,

627
00:33:50.880 --> 00:33:55.220
I'm excited to, uh, see what I could do here.

628
00:33:55.319 --> 00:33:58.410
See what the boundaries are. I could push here. because

629
00:33:58.710 --> 00:34:04.210
I love hardcore wrestling. That is my thing. I love

630
00:34:04.259 --> 00:34:05.059
hardcore wrestling.

631
00:34:05.500 --> 00:34:06.180
Yeah, same.

632
00:34:07.000 --> 00:34:09.820
Yeah, so that's what I'm excited to see what I

633
00:34:09.840 --> 00:34:13.820
can do going into lockdown, also going into the rest

634
00:34:13.840 --> 00:34:16.480
of this year. I would love to be in a

635
00:34:16.519 --> 00:34:17.519
Monsters Ball match.

636
00:34:18.239 --> 00:34:18.579
Yeah.

637
00:34:19.099 --> 00:34:20.659
I would go crazy.

638
00:34:21.239 --> 00:34:26.099
You know? Absolutely. That's music to my ears, brother. I

639
00:34:26.139 --> 00:34:26.420
like it.

640
00:34:26.619 --> 00:34:27.059
Hell yeah.

641
00:34:27.389 --> 00:34:32.219
Good shit. So, I guess my next thing would be,

642
00:34:32.239 --> 00:34:36.260
you know, if you had to look a little bit

643
00:34:36.400 --> 00:34:39.900
ahead in the future, what are some of your goals

644
00:34:39.980 --> 00:34:43.739
over the next, say, three years? Sure.

645
00:34:44.539 --> 00:34:48.119
So, for me, it's... My goals are a little different.

646
00:34:49.239 --> 00:34:50.719
And they've changed along the way.

647
00:34:50.739 --> 00:34:55.489
Where....

648
00:34:55.940 --> 00:34:58.469
I would say the normal answer for any wrestler is

649
00:34:58.489 --> 00:35:02.210
all like, I like the place I'm at now, but like, uh,

650
00:35:02.429 --> 00:35:04.070
the long, you know, I want to go to WWE,

651
00:35:04.110 --> 00:35:07.650
you know, and you, you'll not intentionally, no one's maliciously

652
00:35:07.690 --> 00:35:10.710
doing this, but you'll see a lot of people use

653
00:35:10.750 --> 00:35:14.289
the company they're in as like a springboard to WWE

654
00:35:14.349 --> 00:35:17.250
or a springboard to a W. And that's just not,

655
00:35:17.469 --> 00:35:23.190
that's not me anymore. At least, um, I truly believe

656
00:35:23.989 --> 00:35:30.139
TNA is my home. And, uh, I believe, you know,

657
00:35:30.219 --> 00:35:33.360
cause something me and my wife work on very heavily

658
00:35:33.500 --> 00:35:36.900
is staying present. You know, if you have one leg

659
00:35:36.940 --> 00:35:38.579
on the past and one leg on the future, you're

660
00:35:38.599 --> 00:35:44.760
pissing on today. So I, that's something, uh, that is

661
00:35:44.800 --> 00:35:48.239
a quote that has stayed with me pretty heavily. And

662
00:35:50.639 --> 00:35:54.050
you know, I don't really worry too much about the future,

663
00:35:54.090 --> 00:35:56.239
unless it's my future of where I am like TNA.

664
00:35:56.599 --> 00:36:00.940
So I'll think about the future there, but like, you know,

665
00:36:01.500 --> 00:36:04.719
I just don't see the sense in it either of like, well,

666
00:36:04.739 --> 00:36:06.250
what if you go to WWE and you go to,

667
00:36:06.280 --> 00:36:07.260
and it's like, well, I'm not there.

668
00:36:07.320 --> 00:36:10.119
And I don't even want to, that's not what I

669
00:36:10.179 --> 00:36:11.760
want right now. What I want.

670
00:36:13.719 --> 00:36:16.400
Is, you know, I have a home that's, that is

671
00:36:16.500 --> 00:36:19.570
literally saying, Hey, be you, you could be yourself here.

672
00:36:20.050 --> 00:36:20.789
Yeah, exactly.

673
00:36:20.949 --> 00:36:22.750
You could be yourself here. We are not going to

674
00:36:22.789 --> 00:36:27.010
change you. You just... You get to be yourself.

675
00:36:27.530 --> 00:36:29.469
That's where I look and I'm like, well, why would

676
00:36:29.489 --> 00:36:30.409
I want anything different?

677
00:36:30.969 --> 00:36:31.070
Right.

678
00:36:31.090 --> 00:36:35.389
You know? If anything, to me, that's just greedy. Yeah.

679
00:36:35.630 --> 00:36:38.969
Well, it's the authenticity end of it. Like, you want

680
00:36:38.989 --> 00:36:43.139
to be as authentic as possible. And with wrestling fans,

681
00:36:43.179 --> 00:36:46.099
that's how you get over it. Exactly.

682
00:36:46.119 --> 00:36:48.000
And that's how I've... These past two years have been

683
00:36:48.019 --> 00:36:50.500
the best of my life because... You know, I'd actually,

684
00:36:50.719 --> 00:36:54.039
when I had left AEW, I told my wife, I said,

685
00:36:54.059 --> 00:36:56.030
I don't care if I get signed ever again.

686
00:36:56.389 --> 00:36:56.710
I don't.

687
00:36:57.710 --> 00:36:59.969
I just, I need to be, my ultimate goal is

688
00:37:00.010 --> 00:37:03.670
to be the wrestler that I dreamed of being growing

689
00:37:03.750 --> 00:37:07.030
up or be the wrestler that teenage me would be

690
00:37:07.070 --> 00:37:09.269
a huge fan of. And I accomplished that. And then

691
00:37:09.289 --> 00:37:12.670
when I just accomplished that goal, everything worked out for me.

692
00:37:13.090 --> 00:37:16.159
This is the best I've ever done in my career

693
00:37:16.239 --> 00:37:19.019
these last two years. And it's gotten me now to,

694
00:37:19.699 --> 00:37:21.400
you know, TNA kind of like fell in my lap,

695
00:37:21.920 --> 00:37:23.260
you know, it kind of like just was brought to

696
00:37:23.320 --> 00:37:24.139
me one day and I was.

697
00:37:24.059 --> 00:37:26.619
Like, Whoa, cool. You know?

698
00:37:26.679 --> 00:37:26.980
Yeah.

699
00:37:27.019 --> 00:37:29.639
So like, I would love to awesome. And it wasn't

700
00:37:29.699 --> 00:37:31.639
even my, like, I wasn't even trying. No, I don't

701
00:37:31.679 --> 00:37:34.219
want to say I wasn't trying, but I wasn't like,

702
00:37:34.239 --> 00:37:38.960
it was never begging or it was never like, I

703
00:37:38.980 --> 00:37:41.019
was just happy with what I was doing. And then

704
00:37:41.039 --> 00:37:42.679
it fell in my lap. They were like, Hey, there's

705
00:37:42.699 --> 00:37:45.739
this idea. And I was like, that sounds fun and great.

706
00:37:46.199 --> 00:37:47.980
And it looks like room to grow, you know?

707
00:37:48.000 --> 00:37:48.079
Yeah.

708
00:37:48.670 --> 00:37:52.219
So, and it's just been great ever since. I have

709
00:37:52.570 --> 00:37:55.900
zero complaints. I love TNA. I love how they, I

710
00:37:57.119 --> 00:38:01.260
love how I feel there. I feel like valued, but

711
00:38:01.300 --> 00:38:05.989
also just from the start, I was so welcomed. And

712
00:38:06.030 --> 00:38:08.510
now it's the home, the new home for my wife.

713
00:38:09.170 --> 00:38:09.429
I know.

714
00:38:09.510 --> 00:38:10.730
I mean, how great is that?

715
00:38:10.969 --> 00:38:14.750
What a crazy, you know, that to me, even it's like, man,

716
00:38:15.869 --> 00:38:20.139
what an insane, like, one absolutely.

717
00:38:19.659 --> 00:38:25.019
Insane series of events leading up to today.

718
00:38:25.199 --> 00:38:28.219
Like, uh, now, not only do I have this new

719
00:38:28.260 --> 00:38:30.840
home that I love, but now I'll be able to

720
00:38:30.860 --> 00:38:33.510
go to work with my wife, which is like, how

721
00:38:33.530 --> 00:38:34.130
did this happen?

722
00:38:34.329 --> 00:38:35.050
Yeah.

723
00:38:36.130 --> 00:38:38.730
So crazy. I mean, obviously you guys have both been

724
00:38:38.769 --> 00:38:41.650
in wrestling for a while, but I'm curious, how did

725
00:38:41.690 --> 00:38:43.210
you guys get involved at first?

726
00:38:44.570 --> 00:38:44.889
Sure.

727
00:38:45.010 --> 00:38:49.159
So, uh, so Gabby fell into wrestling. Um, she was

728
00:38:49.239 --> 00:38:54.219
not like a huge fan. She, uh, you know, she, she,

729
00:38:54.940 --> 00:38:58.139
she has a heavy football background where she was a

730
00:38:58.199 --> 00:39:01.900
linebacker linebacker for the New York wolves and the WFA

731
00:39:02.320 --> 00:39:07.099
for 10 years, um, was an alternate for team USA. Um,

732
00:39:08.719 --> 00:39:11.579
and also as a power lifting background and a personal

733
00:39:11.619 --> 00:39:14.320
training background. So she was a personal trainer. She is

734
00:39:14.429 --> 00:39:18.449
currently still a personal trainer for, Stoked Athletics on Long Island.

735
00:39:19.739 --> 00:39:23.780
And it was a Long Island-based wrestler by the name

736
00:39:23.940 --> 00:39:26.460
of VSK or in.

737
00:39:27.570 --> 00:39:29.710
AEW who's Jeeves with.

738
00:39:32.099 --> 00:39:33.599
I forgot what the group was called at the time

739
00:39:34.000 --> 00:39:35.579
it was Ari Javari's group.

740
00:39:36.099 --> 00:39:42.630
And he him and others they started going to Stoked

741
00:39:43.949 --> 00:39:46.869
and the trainers there including Gabby were like whoa you

742
00:39:46.889 --> 00:39:48.369
guys are wrestlers like.

743
00:39:48.250 --> 00:39:51.119
What you know and they were like just come to

744
00:39:51.159 --> 00:39:53.699
a show, come check it out. So they did.

745
00:39:54.099 --> 00:39:56.219
And they started coming to the shows as fans and

746
00:39:56.239 --> 00:40:02.159
they started loving it. And, uh, that is where, uh,

747
00:40:02.239 --> 00:40:05.250
eventually her and I had met at one of those

748
00:40:05.269 --> 00:40:11.329
shows and, uh, just fell for each other instantly, instantly. And, uh,

749
00:40:12.230 --> 00:40:14.150
that is where, I mean, we fell in love with

750
00:40:14.190 --> 00:40:18.340
each other, like right off the bat. And then, uh,

751
00:40:18.570 --> 00:40:21.449
six months into us dating, she thought, she had asked

752
00:40:21.489 --> 00:40:24.639
me like, what do you think about me trying this?

753
00:40:25.440 --> 00:40:27.519
And if it was anybody else, I think I'd be hesitant.

754
00:40:28.239 --> 00:40:30.940
But with her, I was like, I was like, you

755
00:40:31.179 --> 00:40:34.579
absolutely should try it. Like, I feel like you, you

756
00:40:34.619 --> 00:40:37.940
have all the qualities of what, you know, so she did.

757
00:40:38.019 --> 00:40:40.559
And it was kind of off to the races from there.

758
00:40:40.599 --> 00:40:45.440
Everything had started happening so fast. And, um, you know, I,

759
00:40:45.610 --> 00:40:50.239
I really don't, I don't, take credit really for anything

760
00:40:50.320 --> 00:40:51.420
that she's like done.

761
00:40:52.059 --> 00:40:53.820
Uh, if I was to take credit for anything, it was.

762
00:40:53.760 --> 00:40:55.949
Just kind of introducing her to this world, I guess,

763
00:40:55.989 --> 00:40:59.590
which isn't even really true. Uh, I taught her how

764
00:40:59.650 --> 00:41:03.130
to wrestle, but you know, as far as like her

765
00:41:03.250 --> 00:41:07.530
run the last few years, like on the independence and, uh,

766
00:41:08.110 --> 00:41:13.130
she did everything herself. Honestly, I know the way it

767
00:41:13.210 --> 00:41:16.550
looks and people can believe what they want, The way

768
00:41:16.610 --> 00:41:18.630
it looks is I got the TNA and now she's

769
00:41:18.650 --> 00:41:19.269
in TNA.

770
00:41:19.670 --> 00:41:22.570
So people put that in the air. But the real.

771
00:41:22.409 --> 00:41:25.389
Truth is, and I'll say it here, like I actually

772
00:41:26.010 --> 00:41:31.030
never pitched for her once. She never wanted me to.

773
00:41:31.860 --> 00:41:35.300
And honestly, she was doing so well. It was never

774
00:41:35.380 --> 00:41:37.219
even really a thought of my mind because I knew

775
00:41:38.159 --> 00:41:42.960
she would be successful regardless. And I kind of feel

776
00:41:43.079 --> 00:41:48.909
irresponsible navigating that road for her. Where I'm like, yeah, cool.

777
00:41:48.949 --> 00:41:50.550
I'm in TNA, but if she was to end up

778
00:41:50.630 --> 00:41:54.250
in somewhere else, that's great. You know, I would, I

779
00:41:54.289 --> 00:41:56.989
think I'd feel very irresponsible if I had a hand

780
00:41:57.050 --> 00:41:57.329
in that.

781
00:41:58.230 --> 00:42:00.809
So I kind of left it in the air.

782
00:42:00.889 --> 00:42:04.030
And then I had learned something that was told to

783
00:42:04.070 --> 00:42:06.960
me by someone high up in TNA was they actually

784
00:42:07.019 --> 00:42:08.840
found her before they found me.

785
00:42:08.860 --> 00:42:09.800
Oh shit.

786
00:42:10.300 --> 00:42:12.260
So there were, they had kept an eye on her

787
00:42:12.440 --> 00:42:13.960
and all that stuff. So I was like, Oh, that's

788
00:42:14.000 --> 00:42:18.500
really cool. And yeah, the truth is like I had

789
00:42:18.659 --> 00:42:22.420
zero hand in that. I'm not saying people didn't pitch

790
00:42:22.460 --> 00:42:26.500
for her. I just wasn't one of those people. She

791
00:42:26.539 --> 00:42:29.360
just never really wanted me to in any Avenue. And

792
00:42:29.599 --> 00:42:34.329
I respect that fully. So I'm so proud of her.

793
00:42:34.630 --> 00:42:36.750
I care about her career more than I care about mine.

794
00:42:36.809 --> 00:42:37.489
That's the truth.

795
00:42:38.309 --> 00:42:42.869
Or maybe care isn't the word, but I I'm just

796
00:42:42.969 --> 00:42:47.440
so much more like, I'm so dialed in on her career.

797
00:42:47.460 --> 00:42:48.739
I even as like a fan.

798
00:42:49.599 --> 00:42:54.380
So, uh, I just let that, I feel weird manipulating

799
00:42:54.400 --> 00:42:56.900
the universe and to like, let me try to get

800
00:42:56.940 --> 00:43:01.300
her here or whatever, whatever I've, I've been very hands off. Um,

801
00:43:02.440 --> 00:43:06.519
and she has done everything herself at all of her

802
00:43:06.559 --> 00:43:08.280
success is because of her.

803
00:43:09.260 --> 00:43:12.230
So, um, I'm extremely proud of her.

804
00:43:12.889 --> 00:43:15.510
And I get to reap the rewards of it because

805
00:43:16.150 --> 00:43:17.369
now I get to go to work with my wife.

806
00:43:17.409 --> 00:43:18.210
So it's pretty awesome.

807
00:43:19.070 --> 00:43:21.090
No, absolutely. And I know there's a lot of people

808
00:43:21.170 --> 00:43:25.480
out there, marriages and relationships where that doesn't always pan out.

809
00:43:25.559 --> 00:43:27.539
So especially in the wrestling business.

810
00:43:28.900 --> 00:43:30.260
Especially in the wrestling business.

811
00:43:30.800 --> 00:43:31.360
Yeah, it's tough.

812
00:43:31.380 --> 00:43:33.500
We see it a lot, but we're very, very lucky.

813
00:43:33.980 --> 00:43:38.570
No, definitely. Yeah. Cool, man. Ever think about going in

814
00:43:38.639 --> 00:43:42.380
after some intergender titles with her? Yeah.

815
00:43:42.420 --> 00:43:44.619
So we have in the, uh, independent scene.

816
00:43:44.940 --> 00:43:45.559
Yeah.

817
00:43:45.579 --> 00:43:48.920
Um, especially with like GCW, GCW is such a huge

818
00:43:48.980 --> 00:43:53.750
part of her career and mine as well. Um, honestly,

819
00:43:53.769 --> 00:43:56.909
an extremely pivotal part of both of our careers was, was,

820
00:43:57.030 --> 00:43:58.309
was game changer wrestling.

821
00:43:58.929 --> 00:44:01.670
And, uh, for me, it was with the death match stuff,

822
00:44:02.889 --> 00:44:06.159
but for her, it was wrestling men.

823
00:44:07.119 --> 00:44:09.039
And it was a place for her to wrestle top

824
00:44:09.079 --> 00:44:12.469
stars like Manders and Jordan Oliver and, these guys who

825
00:44:12.489 --> 00:44:13.309
will push her.

826
00:44:13.329 --> 00:44:18.699
Yeah. And, you know, uh, they have, and those are

827
00:44:18.719 --> 00:44:20.000
some of her best matches.

828
00:44:20.679 --> 00:44:22.519
Yeah. So, and then when, you know, with your question

829
00:44:22.539 --> 00:44:25.159
with the intergender titles, like one of my favorite matches

830
00:44:25.199 --> 00:44:28.500
was in Hartford, Connecticut this year, uh, me and gab

831
00:44:28.539 --> 00:44:31.630
versus busted in the brain is one of my favorite matches.

832
00:44:32.550 --> 00:44:35.030
Um, so that's been very, very cool.

833
00:44:35.530 --> 00:44:39.849
Uh, and I don't know, it's very hard to predict, uh,

834
00:44:40.809 --> 00:44:44.190
intergender wrestling's place on a TV level.

835
00:44:45.230 --> 00:44:48.610
Obviously, I would hope. But, you know, even.

836
00:44:48.750 --> 00:44:52.409
It's tough because even she had just defeated Dijak for

837
00:44:52.429 --> 00:44:54.639
the Limitless Wrestling World Title this weekend.

838
00:44:56.119 --> 00:44:57.059
And that was amazing.

839
00:44:57.099 --> 00:44:59.239
And if you're in wrestling as a fan, it's the

840
00:44:59.260 --> 00:45:02.940
coolest thing ever. We had a lot of people watch

841
00:45:03.199 --> 00:45:05.860
outside of wrestling. And one of the big questions is,

842
00:45:05.940 --> 00:45:09.469
why is a man fighting a woman? So.

843
00:45:11.360 --> 00:45:16.179
There is a very, very sharp divide between the wrestling

844
00:45:16.239 --> 00:45:21.360
fans who get it and the casual fans who would

845
00:45:21.380 --> 00:45:24.920
look at that and go, oh, that's not right. So

846
00:45:25.539 --> 00:45:26.860
I think that would be a hurdle.

847
00:45:27.300 --> 00:45:29.099
That would be a hurdle. But there's ways to navigate it.

848
00:45:29.119 --> 00:45:32.239
And they have navigated it in the past. And my

849
00:45:32.280 --> 00:45:34.849
thing with Gab is like, you know, if you want

850
00:45:34.869 --> 00:45:37.769
to talk about what you could believe or what you

851
00:45:37.789 --> 00:45:42.050
can't believe, I don't care what you believe in or not. She,

852
00:45:42.110 --> 00:45:44.349
when she lifts somebody over her head, it's real. We're

853
00:45:44.369 --> 00:45:45.849
not turning the gravity button off.

854
00:45:46.289 --> 00:45:47.070
Exactly.

855
00:45:47.730 --> 00:45:49.389
You know, it's one of those deals.

856
00:45:50.309 --> 00:45:51.050
They're impressed.

857
00:45:52.090 --> 00:45:55.750
Endlessly. Endlessly. No.

858
00:45:55.769 --> 00:45:59.269
And I just, I love how much of her personality

859
00:45:59.329 --> 00:46:02.369
shows through with the character. Like the normal thing is

860
00:46:02.389 --> 00:46:03.469
just incredible for her.

861
00:46:04.309 --> 00:46:04.949
It's crazy.

862
00:46:05.710 --> 00:46:08.260
You know, it just, it was something that I was like,

863
00:46:09.010 --> 00:46:10.550
I don't know if this is going to work, but

864
00:46:10.590 --> 00:46:13.429
the longer I've seen her do it, I'm like, you

865
00:46:13.449 --> 00:46:16.409
know what? She's getting it over, and it's hilarious and great.

866
00:46:17.309 --> 00:46:19.429
Me too, even at the start, because that's actually the

867
00:46:19.489 --> 00:46:22.690
Nomi thing goes back to when she was 10 years old.

868
00:46:22.769 --> 00:46:26.389
She's always been a Nomi aficionado, and then she had

869
00:46:26.449 --> 00:46:30.329
wanted to introduce it in wrestling, and I liked it.

870
00:46:30.719 --> 00:46:32.960
I definitely was like, I don't want to say I

871
00:46:33.000 --> 00:46:36.480
had doubts, because when she had started wrestling, I just

872
00:46:36.519 --> 00:46:38.599
wanted my ultimate thing was it has to be fun.

873
00:46:39.030 --> 00:46:42.699
There's no goal of getting signed. There's no whatever. It

874
00:46:42.719 --> 00:46:45.960
was just something she was trying. And I was like,

875
00:46:46.340 --> 00:46:50.079
the ultimate goal is it has to be fun. And

876
00:46:50.139 --> 00:46:52.619
even still to this day, well, maybe not anymore because she's.

877
00:46:52.590 --> 00:46:53.440
Fucking killing it.

878
00:46:53.510 --> 00:46:58.849
But for years, no matter how good she was getting,

879
00:46:58.889 --> 00:47:00.570
no matter how much of a following she was getting,

880
00:47:00.949 --> 00:47:03.309
I always told her, if this is not fun anymore

881
00:47:03.389 --> 00:47:04.800
and you come to me and say, I don't want

882
00:47:04.820 --> 00:47:08.360
to do this anymore, you will never disappoint me ever.

883
00:47:09.130 --> 00:47:11.730
I will pull you right out of this. I don't

884
00:47:11.750 --> 00:47:12.510
care what anyone says.

885
00:47:12.530 --> 00:47:16.550
I don't, you know, this has to be fun and

886
00:47:16.590 --> 00:47:20.960
you have to love it or else it's not worth it. Right. So,

887
00:47:21.039 --> 00:47:22.980
but she's, but we've never, we never hit that point.

888
00:47:23.019 --> 00:47:25.239
She's loving it even on days where it's hard. And

889
00:47:25.559 --> 00:47:27.380
even on days where she's not loving it, she's still

890
00:47:27.460 --> 00:47:30.380
got it. You know, she's still, you know, cause we

891
00:47:30.420 --> 00:47:33.960
all hit those days, but yeah, you know, it reminds

892
00:47:34.000 --> 00:47:38.110
me a lot of, uh, Chris Statlander. Where when she

893
00:47:38.230 --> 00:47:41.480
started the alien gimmick on the Indies, we were actually

894
00:47:41.619 --> 00:47:45.260
all pretty doubtful. We were all like, I don't think

895
00:47:45.280 --> 00:47:47.539
that's going to work. And she proved all of us wrong, man.

896
00:47:47.639 --> 00:47:49.079
So it's kind of the same deal.

897
00:47:49.300 --> 00:47:55.760
She's another one that just blows me away. Yeah. Unbelievable.

898
00:47:55.840 --> 00:47:57.239
I'd love to see the two of them go at

899
00:47:57.280 --> 00:47:59.110
it in more recent times.

900
00:48:00.289 --> 00:48:06.409
Yeah, actually, their last singles match was May 11th.

901
00:48:08.110 --> 00:48:11.820
1st of this year. May 1st at Creative Pro Wrestling.

902
00:48:11.860 --> 00:48:14.599
You can check that out. I think it's free on YouTube.

903
00:48:14.699 --> 00:48:17.960
Actually, I think it's on YouTube.

904
00:48:18.860 --> 00:48:24.489
Cool. Yeah, they're both incredible. I think it's refreshing to

905
00:48:24.530 --> 00:48:29.690
see the originality, especially with women. You get the borderline

906
00:48:29.750 --> 00:48:32.670
valets and you get the girls that transition into things,

907
00:48:33.510 --> 00:48:37.840
but they definitely both held their own Who's your favorite

908
00:48:37.989 --> 00:48:39.880
woman wrestler besides your wife?

909
00:48:40.679 --> 00:48:43.179
Oh, that's tough. Of all time?

910
00:48:44.539 --> 00:48:53.360
Sure. Because Gab's also like one of my favorite wrestlers, period, too.

911
00:48:53.449 --> 00:48:57.670
So it's tough. I'd say Megan Bain.

912
00:48:58.789 --> 00:48:59.090
Really?

913
00:48:59.110 --> 00:49:00.489
I think Megan Bain is my favorite.

914
00:49:01.250 --> 00:49:01.690
Okay.

915
00:49:02.190 --> 00:49:04.309
Megan Bain, Chyna, Jordan Grace.

916
00:49:04.889 --> 00:49:05.050
Yep.

917
00:49:05.889 --> 00:49:07.059
There's definitely a theme there.

918
00:49:07.079 --> 00:49:11.900
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I've only run into Megan, but

919
00:49:11.940 --> 00:49:15.690
she's always impressive to see what she can do for girls.

920
00:49:15.710 --> 00:49:18.489
I mean, she's really fucking tall. I mean, everybody's tall

921
00:49:18.510 --> 00:49:19.230
compared to me.

922
00:49:19.269 --> 00:49:22.659
Her presence is insane. Her presence is crazy.

923
00:49:23.699 --> 00:49:25.449
And then, you know, I kind of had a theme

924
00:49:25.469 --> 00:49:26.840
there with the ones I named, but if I was

925
00:49:26.880 --> 00:49:30.519
to break away from that theme, somebody who I think

926
00:49:30.719 --> 00:49:34.460
is bound to be one of the best in the

927
00:49:34.519 --> 00:49:38.019
next few years is Polly Alexa from the NWA.

928
00:49:38.059 --> 00:49:38.380
Yeah.

929
00:49:39.079 --> 00:49:40.519
She impresses the hell out of me.

930
00:49:40.960 --> 00:49:41.940
Unbelievable talent.

931
00:49:42.380 --> 00:49:46.449
Unbelievable talent. That girl is 22 and she's already got

932
00:49:46.489 --> 00:49:49.590
it in her. Like all the things that she needs.

933
00:49:50.610 --> 00:49:51.289
It's just there.

934
00:49:52.210 --> 00:49:57.309
She's just super. Yeah, no, just super aggressive for such

935
00:49:57.329 --> 00:50:02.920
a small person. Like so aggressive, so loud. So like

936
00:50:03.239 --> 00:50:05.320
captures your attention, whether you like.

937
00:50:05.199 --> 00:50:05.500
It or not.

938
00:50:05.940 --> 00:50:08.840
And those fucking drop kicks, man. Holy shit.

939
00:50:09.670 --> 00:50:11.010
She lays her shit in, man.

940
00:50:11.349 --> 00:50:15.059
It blows my mind. Like, she just had a match

941
00:50:15.099 --> 00:50:18.860
with Olivia last week, and that hardcore match was a

942
00:50:18.900 --> 00:50:21.340
lot of fun. Yeah.

943
00:50:21.420 --> 00:50:24.219
Yeah, they were swinging those trash can.

944
00:50:24.039 --> 00:50:24.780
Lids at each other.

945
00:50:25.199 --> 00:50:26.900
I was like, wow. Yeah.

946
00:50:28.239 --> 00:50:33.050
Man, it's crazy. Like, you know, getting to be 38

947
00:50:33.050 --> 00:50:36.210
years old and you're looking at, Okay, when I was

948
00:50:36.289 --> 00:50:38.849
watching Lita and Trish and all that, they were about

949
00:50:38.889 --> 00:50:41.269
the same age. But now it's like I'm on the

950
00:50:41.329 --> 00:50:43.570
flip side of that. So I'm like, oh, my God,

951
00:50:43.590 --> 00:50:46.659
you're young enough to be my niece or something.

952
00:50:46.679 --> 00:50:50.519
Oh, man, I'm experiencing that too, dude, as a wrestling trainer.

953
00:50:50.539 --> 00:50:53.420
Because now with Creative Pro Wrestling Academy, I'm one of

954
00:50:53.460 --> 00:50:58.460
the trainers. And, man, I have to bite my tongue

955
00:50:58.480 --> 00:50:58.960
a lot.

956
00:50:58.820 --> 00:51:01.280
At some of these things. It's not their fault they're young.

957
00:51:01.300 --> 00:51:02.320
No, no, of course.

958
00:51:02.909 --> 00:51:04.650
Bro, like, I'll have students that are like.

959
00:51:04.730 --> 00:51:06.969
Oh, yeah, when I was a little kid and the

960
00:51:07.030 --> 00:51:10.000
shield broke up, I'm like, oh, my God.

961
00:51:11.659 --> 00:51:13.019
That's crazy.

962
00:51:13.659 --> 00:51:17.559
Like I said to Olivia, I made some comment about,

963
00:51:17.599 --> 00:51:21.280
you know, being a cuter version of Tully Blanchard in

964
00:51:21.320 --> 00:51:24.349
that match with the way she was just throwing shit.

965
00:51:24.530 --> 00:51:26.369
That's amazing. That's amazing.

966
00:51:26.489 --> 00:51:31.409
She just kind of looked at me like, what? Oh, okay. Right.

967
00:51:32.030 --> 00:51:35.570
Probably has no idea. No, exactly, but it was just funny.

968
00:51:36.929 --> 00:51:37.889
Really fucking funny.

969
00:51:38.170 --> 00:51:42.159
Well, that's with Gab, too, and not in an age sense,

970
00:51:42.599 --> 00:51:45.019
but Gab, again, like I said, she fell into wrestling

971
00:51:45.059 --> 00:51:46.139
with no prior knowledge.

972
00:51:46.619 --> 00:51:46.840
Yeah.

973
00:51:47.400 --> 00:51:53.090
So, you know, it's funny. This year, she has wrestled

974
00:51:53.130 --> 00:51:55.630
in Cork and Hall in Japan. She's wrestled in the

975
00:51:55.690 --> 00:52:00.340
ECW arena. And she knows the capacity of those things. Yeah.

976
00:52:00.539 --> 00:52:03.119
But don't ask her to name five matches in each

977
00:52:03.159 --> 00:52:06.980
of them. Because, like, she doesn't know.

978
00:52:07.000 --> 00:52:09.639
Right. You know, she knows, like, because Cork and Hall,

979
00:52:09.679 --> 00:52:12.019
you can't not know. You walk in and you're like,

980
00:52:12.800 --> 00:52:15.820
you're just walking in and the history is all over

981
00:52:15.880 --> 00:52:16.280
the walls.

982
00:52:16.340 --> 00:52:18.820
And you're like, whoa, this place is crazy. But again,

983
00:52:19.800 --> 00:52:20.820
she doesn't really know.

984
00:52:20.840 --> 00:52:25.389
Right, right. I mean, the appreciation level is completely different.

985
00:52:26.059 --> 00:52:27.440
Completely different.

986
00:52:27.460 --> 00:52:30.179
So I think that's something as this new, you know,

987
00:52:30.300 --> 00:52:34.079
we're getting into this new generation. I mean, honestly, the

988
00:52:34.119 --> 00:52:35.860
way I, from my point of view, even at wrestling open,

989
00:52:35.880 --> 00:52:39.429
there's like two new generations. Cause there's even younger than

990
00:52:39.469 --> 00:52:42.630
like the DJ powers. And then, you know, there's like, uh,

991
00:52:43.050 --> 00:52:44.030
you see the breadwinners.

992
00:52:45.030 --> 00:52:45.349
Yeah.

993
00:52:45.389 --> 00:52:47.969
Those kids are fucking, those kids are so young.

994
00:52:48.309 --> 00:52:51.369
Yeah. I'm like, since when did they let high school

995
00:52:51.389 --> 00:52:52.190
kids in the ring?

996
00:52:52.269 --> 00:52:56.639
I'm like, I'm like, Oh man. Like, You're making me

997
00:52:56.679 --> 00:52:57.659
feel really old.

998
00:52:58.019 --> 00:52:59.500
Yeah.

999
00:53:00.539 --> 00:53:02.219
But it's cool, though, man. I love to see it.

1000
00:53:02.500 --> 00:53:04.340
I love to see the wrestling business evolve.

1001
00:53:04.440 --> 00:53:12.670
And they're all very still appreciative of the past, at

1002
00:53:12.710 --> 00:53:13.710
least in my experience.

1003
00:53:14.210 --> 00:53:17.110
I'm sure some people might say different, but I.

1004
00:53:18.869 --> 00:53:19.889
Think it's a very cool thing.

1005
00:53:21.880 --> 00:53:25.690
Maybe my opinion will change when I'm 35 or 40.

1006
00:53:25.690 --> 00:53:27.590
Right now, at 30 years old, it's pretty cool to see.

1007
00:53:27.630 --> 00:53:29.909
I think it's in good hands.

1008
00:53:29.949 --> 00:53:33.690
Definitely. I just love the amount of indies that are

1009
00:53:33.710 --> 00:53:38.559
popping up. I work in underground metal 24-7, so there's

1010
00:53:38.579 --> 00:53:42.320
a lot of parallels to our business and the wrestling

1011
00:53:42.380 --> 00:53:46.900
business as far as multiple promoters, same talent going in

1012
00:53:46.960 --> 00:53:52.590
and out. I've often tried to put together things similar

1013
00:53:52.639 --> 00:53:55.760
to like the territories and the NWA kind of thing

1014
00:53:55.780 --> 00:53:58.360
so that we're all on the same page and not

1015
00:53:58.400 --> 00:54:02.039
tripping over each other. But it's tough in today's society.

1016
00:54:02.099 --> 00:54:04.159
It's a little bit harder to get people to work

1017
00:54:04.199 --> 00:54:07.340
together at times, but I love the fact that wrestling

1018
00:54:07.380 --> 00:54:12.840
has become less competitive in an ego sense. I don't

1019
00:54:12.880 --> 00:54:15.900
know if that's true in your perspective, but it seems

1020
00:54:15.940 --> 00:54:16.639
that way to me.

1021
00:54:17.559 --> 00:54:19.440
With the performers or the promoters?

1022
00:54:20.099 --> 00:54:21.340
A little bit of both.

1023
00:54:22.239 --> 00:54:24.420
I would say not the performers with the performers.

1024
00:54:25.219 --> 00:54:27.559
This feels the most unified, I would say.

1025
00:54:28.000 --> 00:54:28.519
Yeah.

1026
00:54:28.559 --> 00:54:29.099
Everybody.

1027
00:54:29.159 --> 00:54:30.849
I mean, I think Gabby's a good example of that

1028
00:54:30.869 --> 00:54:35.349
where like, if you saw the reception online of how

1029
00:54:35.429 --> 00:54:37.469
many people were so happy for her, I think that's

1030
00:54:37.510 --> 00:54:40.150
a good indicator of where indie wrestling is or everyone's

1031
00:54:40.190 --> 00:54:44.739
kind of supportive for each other. Yeah. I'm not going

1032
00:54:44.760 --> 00:54:46.639
to get into it, but on a promoter side of things,

1033
00:54:46.699 --> 00:54:47.320
not so much.

1034
00:54:47.889 --> 00:54:50.619
Yeah, promoter. Every promoter I know hates each other. I've

1035
00:54:50.639 --> 00:54:53.579
been on for 15 years, and it's not easy. There's

1036
00:54:53.639 --> 00:54:56.760
always some kind of drama. There's always some kind of,

1037
00:54:56.780 --> 00:55:02.159
you know, put-through business move or just overreaction to things.

1038
00:55:02.920 --> 00:55:05.570
I think every promoter I know right now hates each other.

1039
00:55:05.590 --> 00:55:07.309
Yeah, it's tough.

1040
00:55:07.389 --> 00:55:09.139
I stay out of it. I stay out of it.

1041
00:55:09.309 --> 00:55:13.710
And sometimes I'm looked at as a bad guy for

1042
00:55:13.750 --> 00:55:16.309
staying out of it, but I don't care. I'm just like,

1043
00:55:16.369 --> 00:55:21.000
I don't give a shit. I'm not a promoter. I'm

1044
00:55:21.059 --> 00:55:22.400
a wrestler. You pay me to wrestle.

1045
00:55:22.800 --> 00:55:25.869
Exactly. And there's days where I'd love to just go

1046
00:55:25.909 --> 00:55:29.130
back to being a guitar player and not worrying about anything.

1047
00:55:29.250 --> 00:55:31.809
But at the same time, if you want something done right,

1048
00:55:32.789 --> 00:55:35.949
you got to do it yourself. So I always cover

1049
00:55:35.989 --> 00:55:37.949
my own ass in that particular department.

1050
00:55:39.010 --> 00:55:39.710
Sure.

1051
00:55:40.909 --> 00:55:44.969
So I'm trying to think what else we have on

1052
00:55:45.050 --> 00:55:48.949
cover here. Oh, so like I said, my wife and

1053
00:55:48.989 --> 00:55:52.989
I are big New Japan fans. Obviously, the landscape has

1054
00:55:53.690 --> 00:55:59.090
changed dramatically over the last 10 years or so. If

1055
00:55:59.130 --> 00:56:03.340
you had to pick anybody from New Japan in the last,

1056
00:56:04.380 --> 00:56:08.079
I'd say 20 years or so, who would you want

1057
00:56:08.099 --> 00:56:13.000
to face? I could see you going against fucking Ishii.

1058
00:56:14.670 --> 00:56:15.389
Oh, hell yeah.

1059
00:56:15.750 --> 00:56:17.849
Ishii would be great for you, I think.

1060
00:56:17.969 --> 00:56:19.349
That would probably be my answer.

1061
00:56:19.750 --> 00:56:20.650
Yeah.

1062
00:56:22.309 --> 00:56:24.349
I'd say Ishii or.

1063
00:56:24.369 --> 00:56:24.449
If.

1064
00:56:28.079 --> 00:56:29.639
We're talking like last 20 years.

1065
00:56:33.960 --> 00:56:34.820
I would say.

1066
00:56:34.840 --> 00:56:34.909
Huh.

1067
00:56:43.889 --> 00:56:44.849
Yeah, I'd probably say Ishii.

1068
00:56:45.829 --> 00:56:50.469
Yeah, because I mean, I could see like Tenzan too. Maybe.

1069
00:56:51.349 --> 00:56:52.190
Yeah, for sure.

1070
00:56:52.250 --> 00:56:54.670
He's definitely who I would pick anyway.

1071
00:56:55.210 --> 00:56:57.110
Yeah, I think that's the best answer.

1072
00:56:57.610 --> 00:57:01.269
Right on. Good deal. So what are you listening to

1073
00:57:01.349 --> 00:57:03.090
music-wise lately? Anything new?

1074
00:57:04.070 --> 00:57:04.429
Sure.

1075
00:57:04.550 --> 00:57:11.920
So I'm very, I love, I've kind of been getting

1076
00:57:12.380 --> 00:57:16.989
really back into nu metal. Because I would say the

1077
00:57:17.030 --> 00:57:19.530
last two years I was very into hardcore New York

1078
00:57:19.610 --> 00:57:21.769
Long Island hardcore Like Pain of Truth.

1079
00:57:25.050 --> 00:57:28.039
But I'm also like I.

1080
00:57:32.360 --> 00:57:35.059
Change a lot I feel So like I'm getting back

1081
00:57:35.119 --> 00:57:39.639
into new metal I love like You know obviously the

1082
00:57:39.679 --> 00:57:42.820
classic new metal Like Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach And

1083
00:57:42.840 --> 00:57:47.469
stuff like that but I also see, you know, if

1084
00:57:47.489 --> 00:57:48.789
you're big on Tik TOK, I don't know if you're

1085
00:57:48.809 --> 00:57:51.429
a Tik TOK guy, but there's a lot of new

1086
00:57:51.550 --> 00:57:53.510
artists that are trying to bring that style back.

1087
00:57:53.909 --> 00:57:58.809
Yeah. Um, there's actually in particular where we're kind of

1088
00:57:58.909 --> 00:58:00.210
a new metal slash.

1089
00:58:00.329 --> 00:58:04.130
Very cool. Oh, very cool. Yeah. So awesome. Oh, that's awesome.

1090
00:58:04.170 --> 00:58:04.869
I got to check that out.

1091
00:58:05.469 --> 00:58:07.969
No, that's sick. I'll send you a link for sure.

1092
00:58:08.070 --> 00:58:15.789
Please, please do. Um, yeah, like there's, uh, I'm definitely

1093
00:58:15.909 --> 00:58:16.250
after this.

1094
00:58:16.269 --> 00:58:18.369
I'm going to be like, Oh, you know, but, uh,

1095
00:58:19.389 --> 00:58:21.489
I even, I even just fell into this Tik TOK kid.

1096
00:58:21.510 --> 00:58:25.110
He's just by himself. He's a one man band, but, uh, is, is,

1097
00:58:25.260 --> 00:58:27.260
it's a band called miscellaneous department.

1098
00:58:28.000 --> 00:58:28.360
Oh, okay.

1099
00:58:28.980 --> 00:58:31.139
Miscellaneous department. He has like not a lot of followers,

1100
00:58:31.199 --> 00:58:33.480
not a lot of whatever, but I'm like this, this hits.

1101
00:58:33.519 --> 00:58:34.019
I like this.

1102
00:58:34.420 --> 00:58:34.719
Nice.

1103
00:58:35.260 --> 00:58:39.369
Um, uh, yeah.

1104
00:58:39.809 --> 00:58:40.929
Kind of into that new metal.

1105
00:58:41.849 --> 00:58:42.710
Cool. Lately.

1106
00:58:42.730 --> 00:58:44.389
I love like old Chevelle.

1107
00:58:45.019 --> 00:58:49.320
Yeah you know stuff like that um i have i

1108
00:58:49.340 --> 00:58:52.480
love the playlist on spotify wwe pay-per-view themes.

1109
00:58:52.739 --> 00:58:55.199
So yeah yeah you.

1110
00:58:55.139 --> 00:58:59.159
Know um i love i love that playlist so i'll

1111
00:58:59.179 --> 00:59:02.179
kind of like just binge those all day back into

1112
00:59:02.219 --> 00:59:04.429
like i haven't listened to like i went like years

1113
00:59:04.449 --> 00:59:06.630
without listening to lincoln park and i love them again

1114
00:59:06.650 --> 00:59:09.090
because i'm like oh yeah i forgot like you know

1115
00:59:09.550 --> 00:59:12.030
um not new lincoln park i don't really like that

1116
00:59:12.070 --> 00:59:15.969
new album but i love like obviously hybrid theory i

1117
00:59:16.010 --> 00:59:24.019
think is such a yeah goaded album yeah um actually

1118
00:59:24.039 --> 00:59:25.079
i could probably pull it up right here let me

1119
00:59:25.119 --> 00:59:28.130
see i actually have a Cause I have you.

1120
00:59:28.070 --> 00:59:30.289
Hooked up to my car. Cause I always do podcasts

1121
00:59:30.349 --> 00:59:32.750
in the car. Right. And, uh, Oh yeah.

1122
00:59:32.789 --> 00:59:34.639
Like I've never been a, uh, I just got.

1123
00:59:34.530 --> 00:59:37.880
To do, I love the original album by primer 55. Yeah.

1124
00:59:37.940 --> 00:59:38.340
They're good.

1125
00:59:39.760 --> 00:59:42.119
Like I never really listened to them. And then I

1126
00:59:42.159 --> 00:59:43.920
did this past month and I was like, Oh, these

1127
00:59:43.940 --> 00:59:47.719
guys are sick. And, uh, it looks like that's where

1128
00:59:47.739 --> 00:59:48.179
they kind of.

1129
00:59:48.119 --> 00:59:51.780
Stopped, but you like static eggs.

1130
00:59:53.000 --> 00:59:55.760
Sure. Yeah, sure. I like static eggs. They're pretty cool.

1131
00:59:57.409 --> 01:00:01.409
Um, yeah, like that kind of stuff. I love, um,

1132
01:00:03.030 --> 01:00:05.090
I love the band. I've always loved the band stained.

1133
01:00:05.840 --> 01:00:07.639
Yeah. Huge stained guy too.

1134
01:00:07.980 --> 01:00:08.960
Huge stained guy.

1135
01:00:09.000 --> 01:00:11.480
I think Aaron Lewis is kind of a little insufferable

1136
01:00:11.519 --> 01:00:14.110
when it comes to, he brings politics and everything. And I,

1137
01:00:14.440 --> 01:00:16.079
I don't, I don't like politics at all. I keep

1138
01:00:16.119 --> 01:00:19.360
politics out of everything I'm involved in. I just, I hate,

1139
01:00:19.519 --> 01:00:22.880
I hate politics. So I, I went to a stained

1140
01:00:22.920 --> 01:00:25.079
concert and he's a bit insufferable when it comes to

1141
01:00:25.099 --> 01:00:29.260
that stuff. But, other than that it was really I

1142
01:00:29.300 --> 01:00:36.619
loved the show when there was music playing but yeah

1143
01:00:36.719 --> 01:00:38.719
or even like the.

1144
01:00:38.239 --> 01:00:39.239
Band Flaw.

1145
01:00:40.420 --> 01:00:43.300
Yeah Flaw is good too so good.

1146
01:00:45.090 --> 01:00:50.510
Dry Kill Logic yeah love Dry Kill Logic especially the

1147
01:00:50.730 --> 01:00:56.820
album The Dead and Dreaming yeah yeah Oh, I love,

1148
01:00:58.079 --> 01:00:59.900
when I was listening to a lot of hardcore, me

1149
01:00:59.920 --> 01:01:01.599
and my wife got into Dying Wish.

1150
01:01:01.619 --> 01:01:04.230
I don't think I've listened to that before.

1151
01:01:04.250 --> 01:01:07.230
Dying Wish is a, I would say a more recent band.

1152
01:01:07.710 --> 01:01:16.119
Okay. With a female front lead. And yeah, unbelievable. Really unbelievable.

1153
01:01:16.139 --> 01:01:18.219
There's an album, Flesh Stays Together.

1154
01:01:18.239 --> 01:01:19.239
Okay.

1155
01:01:20.139 --> 01:01:24.079
And it's very, very good. I highly recommend.

1156
01:01:24.829 --> 01:01:27.929
Yeah, I'll definitely check that out for sure. Yeah, I think,

1157
01:01:27.949 --> 01:01:30.730
you know, much like indie wrestling, there's a lot of

1158
01:01:31.489 --> 01:01:35.780
underground metal especially that's just so good that people aren't

1159
01:01:35.820 --> 01:01:38.280
really hearing. So I'm trying to do my best to

1160
01:01:39.059 --> 01:01:42.079
help get that out there, at least in the Northeast.

1161
01:01:43.059 --> 01:01:47.619
But my other goal within the next year or two

1162
01:01:47.699 --> 01:01:50.929
here is to kind of bring back the whole rock

1163
01:01:50.969 --> 01:01:55.219
and wrestling thing. my promotion specifically is going to start

1164
01:01:55.260 --> 01:02:00.099
doing metal shows that combine with like yeah I'd say

1165
01:02:00.139 --> 01:02:03.840
maybe four or five matches in between things or whatever

1166
01:02:03.880 --> 01:02:07.300
we'll figure it out but I think connecting those worlds make.

1167
01:02:07.199 --> 01:02:11.880
A lot of sense yeah absolutely so.

1168
01:02:12.079 --> 01:02:16.219
I'm going to talk to the powers that be at

1169
01:02:16.260 --> 01:02:18.099
Wrestling Open and see if we can get those ball

1170
01:02:18.139 --> 01:02:23.090
rolling on that but yeah definitely.

1171
01:02:23.159 --> 01:02:23.889
Never give it a try.

1172
01:02:24.760 --> 01:02:25.719
Yeah, can't hurt, right?

1173
01:02:26.400 --> 01:02:27.599
Yeah, for sure.

1174
01:02:29.000 --> 01:02:32.699
So aside from metal and whatnot, is there anything you

1175
01:02:32.739 --> 01:02:35.739
do on your very little spare time that people might

1176
01:02:35.780 --> 01:02:36.420
not know about?

1177
01:02:38.960 --> 01:02:41.159
I mean, I love movies.

1178
01:02:41.679 --> 01:02:42.699
I love movies.

1179
01:02:42.929 --> 01:02:45.429
I just watched Friday the 13th Part 5 last night

1180
01:02:45.469 --> 01:02:49.809
just because I felt like it. I still have to

1181
01:02:49.849 --> 01:02:54.210
see the new Spider-Man, but Again, just making time for

1182
01:02:54.250 --> 01:02:55.389
theaters is pretty tough.

1183
01:02:55.949 --> 01:02:56.530
Yeah.

1184
01:02:57.630 --> 01:02:59.949
I'm a huge video game guy, but I haven't been

1185
01:02:59.989 --> 01:03:04.590
playing lately. I love Xbox, but I'm very, very excited

1186
01:03:04.610 --> 01:03:05.750
for Gears of War E-Day.

1187
01:03:05.769 --> 01:03:09.369
I just played the beta yesterday, dude. It's great.

1188
01:03:10.050 --> 01:03:10.610
Wow.

1189
01:03:10.949 --> 01:03:11.349
Yeah.

1190
01:03:12.050 --> 01:03:13.550
Wow. That's awesome.

1191
01:03:13.929 --> 01:03:14.340
Yeah.

1192
01:03:15.159 --> 01:03:17.059
Very cool. That's badass.

1193
01:03:17.400 --> 01:03:19.260
Hell yeah. Oh, man.

1194
01:03:19.300 --> 01:03:19.900
I'm so jealous.

1195
01:03:21.280 --> 01:03:24.090
And then hopefully if we see GTA 6 this year,

1196
01:03:24.139 --> 01:03:26.230
if they're actually coming out on the date, it says.

1197
01:03:26.789 --> 01:03:27.429
Definitely.

1198
01:03:28.610 --> 01:03:31.889
I think this is the most interesting.

1199
01:03:33.010 --> 01:03:36.610
Release probably of all time. Where it's the highest, the

1200
01:03:36.969 --> 01:03:38.539
biggest budget for a game ever.

1201
01:03:39.099 --> 01:03:39.719
Yeah.

1202
01:03:39.980 --> 01:03:41.159
With one trailer.

1203
01:03:41.179 --> 01:03:45.519
I know. It's like they're really keeping us salivating for sure.

1204
01:03:45.539 --> 01:03:49.619
There's no, yeah, there's no gameplay. No.

1205
01:03:50.349 --> 01:03:50.769
At all.

1206
01:03:51.889 --> 01:03:55.409
So I don't like it that way. It's kind of nuts. Yeah.

1207
01:03:55.449 --> 01:03:57.170
So that's like really interesting.

1208
01:03:57.210 --> 01:03:59.179
I think that's going to be a really crazy, like

1209
01:04:00.449 --> 01:04:01.989
everyone's kind of like, what are we in for?

1210
01:04:02.050 --> 01:04:04.019
You know? Well, yeah, I think it's going to be

1211
01:04:04.059 --> 01:04:05.239
monumental for sure.

1212
01:04:06.500 --> 01:04:10.199
Yeah. So I'm very, very excited. I think that's really cool.

1213
01:04:10.539 --> 01:04:12.719
So, yeah, I mean, anytime I can make time for gaming,

1214
01:04:12.760 --> 01:04:14.679
me and my brother are really big in the rocket league.

1215
01:04:15.199 --> 01:04:15.340
Yeah.

1216
01:04:15.769 --> 01:04:18.289
So we love, we love rocket league. Uh, he just

1217
01:04:18.309 --> 01:04:19.739
made me download. I'm not a sports guy, but he

1218
01:04:19.760 --> 01:04:23.199
made me download college football. Um, that's pretty fun. It's, it's,

1219
01:04:23.360 --> 01:04:25.940
you know, right, right, right.

1220
01:04:26.219 --> 01:04:32.989
Definitely. Cool, man. Well, I totally appreciate your time again.

1221
01:04:33.030 --> 01:04:36.929
I'm glad we got a chance to chat. Um, and, uh,

1222
01:04:36.949 --> 01:04:39.590

I will catch you very soon. I usually see you

1225
